Guild Wars Guild Ideas - What do you think?

I am new player of 2 months and love the game. I like the concept of guilds however I have been frustrated with the last couple guilds in which I was a member. The players are nice but guild loyalty seems to fizzle too fast. I am in my thirties so most of my friends dont play guild wars let alone time for anything at all and I grow weary of pick up groups that quit in middle of missions. Here are a couple of suggestions:

1. Create in the game a Guild Wars Recriuting Center in the game - this would be a specific town or place on the uncharted isle to post messages to players that would like to join a guild. Use a pay to post (were messages would be up for a period of time per pay) method or something to keep out guild recruit message spam. Even set it up like a guild hall to meet and greet prospective players. Guild leaders could also conference with other guild leaders as well.

2. Create a trophy item in the game that guild leaders can give to members for great loyalty - this item would give a small bonus of some kind. These could be purchased by guild leaders. The trophy item would disappear from the character's inventory when the member leaves the guild.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks
Kristoph

The best guild system, that I have seen in any mmo, when it comes to the point of being loyal, is in Lineage2.
I think one of the major things there is that you have to do some things together as guild for guildhall upgrades etc.
Plus that you cant join another guild right away after leaving one, since there is a penalty.
A penalty could in some way be something that could be added in GW.
The thing with doing quests together as guilds to get some benefits, is a bit harder to add.
Since you can have up to 100 members in a guild, but at the same time got to think at the small guilds that don't want to have 100 members.
Plus you got PvP, but the good PvP guilds got their loyal members, since that is mainly what guilds where designed for in GW.
I like the idea of adding something that does something about the PvE side of guilds.
I don't think your suggestions will help help upon loyalty.

That's why they added the guild section on Guru.... But i see your point. We need an auction house too....

OR, just add a bonus to officer's capes!

I now realize that there are guild ads on guru which i just found out about today randomly searching through forums. But the game is called Guild Wars. I guess i want more focus here for the players. Does the game tell players to go to Guild wars guru to get a guild? What about the guy who doesnt read the forums? I just want a little more structure in game for organizing and maintaining great guilds. Anyhow,Anet does a great job and they have a wonderful product. I just want a little more like everyone else.

Nice idea and I seen the Guild system to be best. But it has it flaws.
