Has anyone beaten this solo quest yet with a monk? If so would you mind sharing the build you used.

Really quite easy.
I 55'ed it, but if you don't have the skills/equipment, just specialise in smiting prayers.
A few skills:
Bane Signet
Signet of Judgement
Spear of Light

Mo/Me 16 smite/12 inspiration
leech signet(interrupt bear form)->mantra of inscriptions->bane sig->holy strike->castigation sig->signet of rage
repeat from bane sig if necessary and ^no elites
leech signet(interrupt bear form)->mantra of inscriptions->bane sig->holy strike->castigation sig->signet of rage
repeat from bane sig if necessary and ^no elites
Curse You
You could just Frenzy Smite your way to victory.

Yeah, I Mo/Me'd it with clever use of Complicate and smiting.
