1v1 random arena

I'm not sure about you guys, but I've always wanted a 1v1 RA. I hate it when it's 1v4 and you get ka-pawned in 2 seconds ><

Please don't say go to guildhall, that's not random. Hero battles are basically TA.

I don't want to see this in GW 1 since it would be a huge update and yea. So maybe a feature in GW 2?

A 1v1 random arenas would imply that something about the players team is random. As almost all other arenas already assign you random opponents.

It really doesn't sound like a great idea, thinking about how bad hero battles is with people running the same build, this would be even worse. The pvp in Guild wars is about strategy and how to use builds to enhance that. This would literally just be build wars.

Perhaps if they had a rotation of play modes much like Heroes Ascent then builds would be varied enough.. they should do that with Hero Battles actually to get a bit of change in the builds going.

Hey, if you're going to PvP, might as well have the option of going solo along with everything else, huh?

Maybe even put down a giant free-for-all in Guild Wars 2. That'd be interesting to see, but so many people would be crying foul. Ah well.

Actully This Idea is just Stuipd Pointless and Stuipd Really.

I use to One vs One untill I came to a Realization and now hero Battle my Friends I want to Pwn.

Guildswars is a Team Based Game. Builds used with Others to Maximize Killing and Surviving Power if you want to put it like that.

Adding a One vs One Arena would Narrow Down the builds List to 2 or 3 Classes Dominating the Arena.

For Example...

Ever Heard of Daze? Long Enough Effect and I Own ALL Spell Casters. Ever Heard of Rips? or just Some Idiot on a D/E or E/D or What ever it is that Takes all 4 of us in RA just to Kill. Adding Something like this Would Ruin Game play and Tatics and "Real Builds" For sure. Just Like RA and AB for Example have been Ruined.


Lets not Ruin it Even more plz.

Guild Wars is teamed based. Not solo-based.

I guess if you wanted a human only 1v1 like the norn tourney it could be fun, but then you'd have the problems of terratanks and 55's (like mhenlo). Course you could just go as a toucher...

It'd be a fun gimmick at first but then you'd end up with all the &^%$#@ builds that are invincible except to specific builds. You'd get a lot of player frustration then...

1 vs 1 is Ok but when you are Exped and arent Expecting a Sin to Pull Mes Hexs on your Ass and it Happens Well thats just Stuipd. People who 1 vs 1 and Beg and bitch about something like this are Either just Ignorant or Newbes. 1 vs 1 IS SO Possible we call it Spending 10k On a Guildhall and Getting Newbe Friends togoether and Scrimaging 1 vs 1 Right there Dummys. Otherwise 1 vs 1 is Pointless..... End of Discussion Really.

1 vs. 1 is quite literally Rock-Paper-Scissors. Not exactly a hard game to play offline.

wow i really don't understand the community... ya'll shut down any idea that may add something NEW to the game... look if there was a pvp random 1v1 arena there would be nothing forcing you to play in it...

yes there would be lots of silly builds but is that not the point of guild wars?

adding function to the game would increase interest and replay value.

The time to create a 1v1 RA could be spent on more pressing issues in the game. 1v1 like many other above me has stated would just be rock papers scissors. Furthermore, the arena would have even more pvp noobs than the current RA, with everyone bringing farming and running builds. So basically in order to win a 1v1 RA build, you either have to wait a long time until your opponent leaves or bring stance removal, enchant removal, running skills/snares, etc. etc. Please, we've got enough noobs in RA as it is, no need to make it worse.

I believe I clearly said I don't expect this to be put into GW 1. Possibly GW 2 since they could balance it all out better with the skills and stuff.

This would SO not be fun >_< since you'd just get... invica-sin's, Dervishers with mystic regen galore, 55hp monks/ele's... So unless you went in with an uber-invica build you get raped... so not fun =/

Also, if you wanted to make a suggestion for GW2, try, maybe, USING THE GW2 STICKY. Sorry for the mega-emphasis, but I figure if I make the letters as annoying as I can, people might actually start seeing them.
