Poll: What will you be in GW2?
Lonesamurai
Wolf form Norn Warrior/Ranger, with Wolf pet and a Katana (hopefully two handed in GW2) or Katana and nice shield

sylvari ("support row" / magic related)
Unless there really bad at that then I will choose something different.

And Norn Mesmers....
yeah_hi
Human Mesmer. If there's even going to be a mesmer class. I hate not knowing.
I really hope that there won't be 'racial traits' that mean something like Charr/Norn make better melee chars, and Sylvari/Asura make better spellcasters (with Humans being somewhere in the middle?) or something like that.

Human (Canthan) Ritualist
I am assuming we will be able to be Canthan if the Ritualist profession is available, since it's a Canthan profession; if it's not available I'll go with a Human Elementalist and hope the Tyrian faces aren't ugly this time around (yes, there were some good ones, but most were, in my opinion, ugly). Or perhaps an Asura.
But I really hope Ritualist will be a playable profession, along with the ability to have a Canthan-looking character. Because, you know, GW2 is supposed to support people who played GW1 and so I would assume they wouldn't decide, "All Canthan Ritualist characters can go **** themselves because we don't want them in GW2."

too early for me to decide what im going to pick, but im hoping on something similar to the current ritualist.
boxterduke
I would have to say, female human mesmer and a maybe a norn warrior.
I like humans, so I might stick with them for all characters.
Not sure yet but the mesmer will be human for sure.

Dwarven warrior (they're available in gw2 right?)
Sylvarian ritualist (a tree casting spirits, lol!)
Asuran necromancer (they would look so bad-ass)
Human mesmer (be classy, stay classy)

I think I might do a Charr. Not sure what.
I'm not sure what my main will be in GW, but definately not warrior. I enjoy ranger more than warrior.

Hmmm...lessee....
My favorite race has always been human, even when there were lots of other races available, so I'm probably going to have a multitude of humans. Though, I might have an Asura Mesmer....

A Sylvari Melandru's Dervish (a tree in a tree ftw)

I always play some sort of Ranger/Druid person in RPGs and the Charr are my favorite race, so that one's the first, but I intend to play all the races and probably all of the professions, if it's at all possible.
D E C E P T I V E
Im thinking a Sylvari Mesmer/*. Primary will be a mesmer, hope a net makes Fast Casting more critical to all mesmer skills in the way that divine favor works with healing so the the mesmer wont get nerfed do much because of skills being used by other primaries. Anet, see my thread in sardelec sanitarium titled stop mesmer abuse.
Sniper22
I think they already said the races will be human, charr, asura, norn, and sylvari. Each race would effect the characters profession.

I would remake my first and main char, Ivy, over again :-). Mesmer if it still works that way in GW 2, if not, definitely a similar casting class. And human. I don't know why, but I have no attraction whatsoever to play as a non-human in such games.
LumpOfCole
Definitely a Charr. I love to be ironic when it comes to species/class, so if there are Charr Mesmers, sign me up.
Crom The Pale
Norn War/Ranger + Polar Bear pet
Charr Ranger/Paragon + Wolf pet

Based on the races strengths/weaknesses/preferences, IT would probably be:
Asura:
Ele, Monk, Necro, Rit, Mes, Sin
Sylvari:
Ele, Monk, Rit, Mes, Rang, Derv, Parr
Charr:
Warr, Parr, Monk, Rit, Necro, Mes, Rang
Human:
Warr, Derv, Sin, Monk, Rit, Necro, Mes
Norn:
Warr, Derv, Parr, Sin, Ele, Rang
I figured, the Norn and the Asura are on extreme ends of the spectrum. The Sylvari and Charr mix it up based on what would probably be differences in beliefs. And Humans would be the usual mixed bag like other games have portrayed them.
But I'm only speculating, there is no evidence that all professions would be available on launch or if it will be in that order.
But based on that I would probably go Sylvari/Derv.

An Asurian Dervish is full of win!

A Cabalist or a Rogue.
Depends if I'm playing Age of Conan or Hellgate:London then.

oooh, I havnt read about the races in GW2, but I am glad to hear they are keeping the same proffesions I hope.
I will have to have an Elementalist as my primary again, I always play the mage based class in every RPG, and also a monk as a secondary character (Cleric FTW lol)
I love Mages + Healers in every RPG. I dont enjoy playing as other classes much, but mesmers are a whole lotta fun
Im sure it will be an Asura elly and a Sylvari Monk.

Well, hopefully they'll make the primary profession flexible. If that's the case, I'll have one char for each race. If not, I'll probably stick to humans. Oh, and since Ele, Derv and Para are my favorites in GW, I'd probably take something related to that in GW2.

Still its to early to do anything other then gues so i hope im whrong. (Besides, its not like WoW is so original)
On to the topic:
I will probably be a Charr warrior, and maybe later a Norn of some kind, probably a melee unit aswell, and possibly an Asuran spellcaster.
I probably will never play a Sylvari though.
Gattocheese
I will be a
1. Female Norn Warrior, i already got the name picked out
2. Female Sylvarian ele maybe
and for the rest i'll have to see how the character designs play out. I didnt care for WoW because there was no main story or linear path to follow and too many fedx quests. As long as they limit those two i might buy GW2

I will be the class that impressed me the most during the Beta phase... leaning towards Necromancer.
I wonder if I will be playing GW2 at all, there are other games out there and ANet really missed the mark with GW:EN and questionable design decisions like the consumables that basically remove the DP mechanic and whatever, plus giving us Siege Devourers but no proper foes that stand a chance against them.
GW PvE is going downhill, where GW PvP already is. They have to convince me of the the opposite before I arse myself by buying GW2 to reward them for this.

Absent, probably.
Between Nightfall and GW:EN, things are starting to feel too grindy/WoWish for my taste.

What will I be in GW2?
I'll still be the same me in RL, and may be still playing original GW. Time will tell, but I'd say the odds of me buying GW2 is about 40% at this time.

Just to point this out to the wannabe trolls out there.
The topic title says "What will you be in GW2?"
Not in Hellgate, Starcraft or whatever the hell you morons came up with.
