If you are refering to the ghost that is next to you when you spawn in FoW.
As far as I am aware.
1) Don't talk to him
2) Don't kill all of the enemies located around the gated tower (at the top of the hill). Once you begin attacking those enemies he starts to make his approach towards the tower, up the hill. Once you completely kill all of them, he goes towards the Gate. Therefore if you are going to farm the FoW just avoid those enemies.
This will also apply to many other Ghosts that you meet while farming FoW. So it is sort of a per case scenario.
*If you go to the farming section I believe there are some detailed guides on farming the FoW that show you routes you should take and give you advice on how to handle particular areas.
