Can't stand it anymore

I am so fed up with anet right now, Not because of EoTN or loot scaling or not having 7 heroes in 1 party but their failure to deal with rule breaking
Sure we hear about X amount of people banned each month for botting and a while ago "loads" of people were banned for duping.
Yet why is it even after reporting people and adding them to my friends list to see if any action is taking NOTHING happens. Are those report tickets even READ?
1)Someone was having a huge rant at anet swearing every other word and insulting the people who were telling him to shut up in american dis 1 random arenas. It went on for a good 10 minutes and I was taking screens of all of it. I sent them in and what do I get "We can't tell you if any action is taken blah blah blahblahabalhahalbaha"....well he was on-line the next day....and the next....AND the next etc. Sure swear filter etc etc but any parents here - I really doubt you would of wanted your kids to see some of this stuff.
2) Duping, There are a couple of people I know who were in on this duping, Again I have screens to prove this beyond doubt. Mmmm stacks of ambraces K THX? Yet when I report ..... nothing - Nothing is done what so ever.
3) Leaching - I don't know anets stand point on leaching. Yet every day this week I have seen this person the American - English District 1 of Fort Aspenwood called "Felix XXXX", Obviously I'm not going to give the full name but she is a monk wearing black kurzick armour. When I first saw her she was R7 luxon. Now she is r7 kurzick aswell. I would of reported her to but the system has changed (To discourage reporting?)
Why is this bad? Because almost EVERY match I've been in she has - She hasn't moved once - Yet the 3 times she disconnected from the game she reconnected so obviously SOMEONE is there. I'm sure if anet WAS monitoring these places, Even a LITTLE they would of caught this person.
So what is their excuse? When these people are delivered to them on a silver plater with concrete evidence why do they not do anything?

If you're not going to post anything resembling intelligent, don't post at all.

they can't get everyone all the time, some people will always slip through.
I expect it takes time to investigate these things, they have to make sure there was a violation and that the person in question deserves a ban.
People would be very annoyed if every "omg you implied a swear word im reporting" resulted in a ban, they need to be sure that the ban is deserved. I'm not trying to say that this is what you do, but some people might, if you really dislike someone there's photoshop, Anet have to be sure before they take action.

Sure they can't catch all the people that arn't reported, But when people are reported, They obviously are not doing anything/enough
Sure a screenshot is not enough, but have you not heard how they keep such detailed logs? Are you telling me it takes THAT long to check because when I give the *exact* time, location and district?
That has nothing to do with what I said, Unless you think someone being abusive to the makers of the game and telling people who tell him to be quiet how he will rape them is perfectly fine.
Is it because they are so busy catching those 10,000 bots a month or is it because they arn't actually doing anything

Quit trying to play GW vigilante justice and play the game. You'll get over it.
Darko_UK
You make a good point, But when I would like to play a certain part of the game and it is ruined by other people breaking rules. Then why should I just sit back and "get over it".
Yet may I ask, Why did I not see that kind of response when it came to the thread about people duping items a while back. In fact I remember everyone getting pretty angry over that, Yet you never told them to get over it?? Or is it that you have had a change of heart and support people leaching?

little hint for playing guildwars:
[ ]Local Chat[*]Guild Chat[*]Team Chat [ ]Trade Chat[*]Alliance Chat
Only turn them on when u actually need to use them, otherwise youll end up with another thread like this in about 2 hours....

Ignoring the problem doesn't make it go away, it just makes it worse

I'm in no way whining, and yes this does happen in other games. Yet in other games that I have played - People who break the rules are banned or punished.
Hell in most other games there is no way to report someone yet I often see people banned. But as you say - Anet aren't doing anything about it.

Botting (duping included) ruin the economy pushing prices of things higher meaning I and every other joe out there must pay more for items.
Leaching puts the team I play in - at a disadvantage
After a day at work I want to just play the game for an hour and have some fun, When these things are hindering me doing things in the little time I have to play, Then it becomes my problem

I can see leeching as a problem, it can be pretty annoying :/.
Not sure about duping though, other than mega super ultra rare minis everything went down.
A-net can be pretty slow and somtimes off the mark when it comes to anti mesures however. still nothing practical done on leeching. And their anti bot stratigies are ofc pathetic. It deos seem they banned but every palace has a rat, or somthing along those lines. I dont think a ticket will do alot about leeching however its not really a reportable offence.

I've never had a problem with people I've reported getting at least a slap on the wrist 24 hour ban (well, they're not online, anyway). Many of them (gold sellers, etc.) are never heard from again.
People got fed up with the trade spam in local chat, A-Net finally dealt with it, now one can actually have a conversation in LA D1! They've stated that they're looking into dealing with leechers, but that's not going to be an easy fix.

im so tired of this type of stuff too..... u would think anet would actually care enough about the "actual players" to punish ppl somehow for their actions..
even if its just a 24 hr ban for leaching....
the duppers, no idea how some of them remain ingame or returned, i saw a few of both happen...
the "blah blah blah anet" spammers, oh well, they come and go, they dont actually do "wrong" except when they use words to avoid the chat filter. that alone is against the EULA....
I mean it cant be that hard to see that someone is running a micro to enter to leach... but then the question they only have to face is... annoyance of 30 or so ppl... or look for the bots farming money for some of these companies...
they try to keep the bot numbers down, and seem to do mass bans of them at times... but that is only actual "full and strong" action i see anet ever doing.... They do some "name change bans" ive seen, and ive heard of some "ebayers" getting the boot... but i agree more must be done....
they need to put their foot down. end of story....
** Note, it took them 2 yrs to figure out how to fix the sammers in Lions... wonder how long till next fix, another 2 yrs?

well if there are still dupers in the game...that is total BS....i mean come on if someone still has stacks of armbraces...something should be done...make them notransferable or something...

Leeching would be so easy to solve - someone is AFK for over 300 seconds (ten countdown timers in Aspenwood) they are instantly booted and someone else who is waiting in line gets to take their place.
And if the leechers started using bots to make their characters move slightly, that's easily solved too by adding a Vote To Kick function so that human players can identify bots/leechers and remove them from their team.
At the very least let us attack and kill them in-game to vent a bit of the anger we get when a warrior in full Obsidian armour with a Tormented Shield and a Crystalline Sword leeches an entire match

As for leeching, ANet is perfectly OK with leeching. They are however 'in the process of solving leeching' which means that once they make GW2 leeching in GW1 will go away since no one will play anyway..
I mean, that fact that Fort Aspenwood is totally unplayable.. who cares. As long as there's PvE that is playable.

Leeching in Fort Aspenwood.....really? Actually, I've always thought that if you had to pick up your reward (customized for you) as say, a scroll....would prevent it. If you're AFK and don't pick it up....awwwww....too bad, no XP for you.
ANet has MILLIONS of players...do you really think a company with HUNDREDS of employees, with maybe a a couple DOZEN at most looking into all the reports can solve the issue? Face it: Anonymity breeds stupidity....as long as peoples' identities can remain hidden, they will continue to behave poorly (you know...like pecker-heads). Best advice: just walk away and play with your heroes and henchies...they only screw you because they can, not because they enjoy it.

yea, I don't play Fort Aspenwood coz of those botters for 2 major reasons:
1) I may be in a risk of being 'mistaken ban' by Anet for playing with leachers
2) I don't want to waste effort for those leachers while they are sleeping

Um, your so-called HUNDREDS of employees are non-existent. 140 people work for ArenaNet, which isn't even close to what you're describing. And ArenaNet doesn't handle tech support (i.e. reporting), NCSoft does.
We all have solutions for everything, we all could do things a million times better than ANet can.
I don't think A-Net has failed at all when it comes to "rule breaking". Bots get banned all the time and the duping situation was handled fairly quickly. I'm not trying to be a fanboi (well, girl for that matter) but they know there is a problem (with leeching in particular) and I'm sure it's not as easy as a fix we all would say it would be.
