My char's 1st b-day

Okay, so last year when my fiance visited, he bought me Guild Wars Prophecies and Factions. I created my main character the very day he bought it. He arrived on September 9 and proposed on September 16. So somewhere in between those two dates is when my main character has a birthday. Sep. 9 last year was a Saturday, so I assumed that the day after, on Sunday, we went to Wal Mart and purchased the games, as it was a weekend. So I was sure my character would receive her birthday present mini pet yesterday. But she hasn't gotten it yet even today. I typed in /age and it still says she's 11 months old. I'm almost positive the birthday should have happened already. Is there a glitch or am I just wrong in the time frame? It should most definately be here before Sep. 16. If it's not, then I'm gonna be convinced there's a glitch of some sort. Anyone else have this problem or know what's going on? Thanks!

It seems to be not only the day but the time your character was created. I have checked my characters in the morning with no luck and then in the evening here is my present. Be patient...

You'll probably get it in the next day or so. I haven't always gotten mine on the day I thought either.

Mine happened 3 weeks after I thought it'd be. And now I'm waiting another 3 weeks for my monk to cough up a birthday present. God knows she deserves it after having to put up with half the teams. COME ON, MINI SHIRO!

Just to check and make sure that you did not create and deleted the first character after playing a bit right? If you did deleted the character after a month or so playing for what ever reason, you will have your first birthday a month or so after the creation of that second character.
Hope I didn't confuse things even more...

Across 9 total characters I have access to my first year presents amounted to nothing better than a purple Kirin and Charr Shaman.
For my second year I actually had a major break and scored two gold mini-liches along with a purple Palawa Joko.
Just be a little more patient. It's very possible that you may have created that particular character later than you think. And of course it's character based, not account based as already stated.

Woot! I got it! lol I figured it would be one I already had, since I've bought so many. But I never thought my very first one would be a purple...mini burning titan! hehe Depending on what it was, I was either going to put it in my Hall of Monuments (have one customized, one not), sell it, or let my fiance have it. As it was, I put it in the Hall of Monuments, along with a mini pig that my fiance gave me (he had two). Can't wait til my next birthdays! Now to just figure out when they are...lol

I think the birthday system is set on a 30 day schedule I believe like every 30 days it adds a month not sure.

Sorry to thread-jack... but I noticed somebody mentioning the deleting of characters... on that note, I was wondering if I deleted my ele, and remade her with the exact same name about 2 minuets later - if the birthday is reset, or if there is a little leeway (sp?) with the delete/create process?
