Is that a hench inside the rock?
AxeMe
When I first started this game - back when Prophecies was the only chapter - it wasn't unusual for a hench to get stuck ... usually inside a rock, or behind one, or maybe between the planks of a bridge. No matter how you wiggled and jiggled the mouse, the hench would just stay there.
Anet fixed that glitch and it hasn't been a problem (or if it has I hear little talk about it) for a long time.
Now, for the first time since those early days, I'm having that "stuck" problem again. Mostly it's been in dungeons and - whether this is just a coincidence or not - mostly it happens to Talon, the warrior.
I wonder if anyone else is having this problem.
Also, back when this was more common, there was a command that at least attemped to get the stuck hench unstuck. Something like - /unstick (example, not the correct command) - does anyone remember the actual command?

I remember being in Presear about 2 years ago, and an Ascalon Guard was stuck inside the big rock at the base of the steps near the zone exit.
People would talk to him and he'd say the usual lines, but it adds a whole lot more humour when it looks like it's coming from a rock.

I noticed that pathing as well as "see through solid objects" are alot worse in Eotn then any of the previous release games. The exception being prophecies when it was out the 1st 6 months.

It happened to me in the dungeon. I think a hench got rezzed and into a stuck position.
Only time I ever encountered it, no real biggie.

I did get stuck in a corner of pongmei valley a few days ago, I then had Zhed and some of my henchmen stuck on top of me and had to map travel out.
I believe /stuck is the command but it didn't work there.
I then managed to trap myself behind the res shrine outside of deldrimor war camp, I dragged a dwarf behind me and he bodyblocked the very narrow path, although this isn't really related to that problem.
I guess it just happens occasionaly

In Ravens point, when you light the 2 braziers to enter that one chamber, i had Zho with me, went in to fight whatever was inside, and realized Zho was not with me....look back to find that she was stuck on the brazier near the door :/

I had a hench get stuck in a dungeon about a week ago as well.
During a battle Cynn died and was rez’d using rebirth by one of my heroes near a wall. When the battle was over, I noticed that Cynn wasn’t following us and instead stayed next to the wall she was rez’d to.
I tried flagging in different places, but no response from Cynn, so I thought nothing of it and went on.
Later on, I found a nice quiet area and decided to take a quick break.
And as expected, when I came back my team was wiped out...... minus Cynn who was able to rez.
So I had to start all over.
I wasn’t frustrated though, since I knew that one was my fault.

That wasn't the only thing henchies did back then they were hanging in the sky or flying off into it.There was no command back then and you had to rezone and to do the quest over again(pain) as it was.The command was introduced a 1/4 away through Factions and is used for char.s only as some were being stuck while Abing.

EoTN has a lot more obstacles/rocks/plants that get in your way, it seems.

This gives me plenty of hope for the Z-axis that's gonna be added in GW2. I can just imagine henchmen glitching underground or soaring to the heavens at random...

Why wait for GW2? I vividly remember the times I fought scarabs while hovering about 5 meters above them in the air. Henchies used to do it all the time as well.

I had a chest spit a gold item into a rock that I couldn't pick up in Slavers' Exile. I think the game just takes shortcuts when it comes to figuring out what is a good place to put things and what isn't, and sometimes tries to spawn/move in places it things it can go, but can't.

And snowmen frequently spawn inside or on walls near the map in the secret lair of the snowmen. Not problem as a fire ele can still take care of them but.
And I fought a charr that got stuck inside a tree last week.

Ogden decided it would be a great idea to stand in a frost trap. So I flag him away and he just stands there. The trap stops, and he keeps standing there no matter how many tmes I flag him or the party. Lots of stuff like that has been happening :S

I remember bringing Jin, she has a black moa, and it would get stuck very often. This isn't only in GW:EN though.

Ya, during sneak preview week I had a NPC get stuck. I was doing some ice dungeon (my first!) and I was easily killing everything until some NPC for the dungeon got stuck.
My henchmen and heros were ok, but in order for me to be able to do this dungeon, I had to invite a NPC to go along for the ride. We were doing well, and then at one point the NPC got stuck against some random thing that kept throwing snow balls at my team. Unfortunately, my group and I didn't notice what happened until we were in the middle of a big battle. We ended up all dying and tried again after we rezzed. I'm not sure what happened, but after that my all henchie team kept dying. I guess it was the death penalty or something.
It's funny, after a year and a half I had never heard of the /stuck command until now. Good to know.
