How do you get armor? all the armor NPC's sell the starting out armor the sunspear and istani armor?
|
You can get armor from NPCs in Kamadan, Jokanur Diggings, Blacktide Den and Consulate Docks. All of these locations are in Istan, and you'll get to them all soon enough as you follow the storyline. They all sell the same styles of armor, but they offer different qualities of armor (the later you come across the crafter, the stronger the armor will be in terms of armor level). You will be able to buy max armor (the strongest you can get) at the Consulate Docks.
There will also be other armor crafters later on in the storyline that sell different armor styles at very high prices. These styles are called prestige armors. They look very flashy, but on a functional level they are exactly the same as max armor.

How do you get more skills? do you get them when you lvl up ? but i havent gotten any new ones...
|
You can get more skills by talking to a skill trainer, or a hero skill trainer. Skill trainers will teach you new skills in exachange for gold and skill points (which you get as you level up and complete missions). Hero skill trainers will teach you new skills in exchange for hero skill points, which you get as your Sunspear (and later Lightbringer) rank increases.

How do you get sunspear points??? im on the mission to become a first spear or lvl 12? but i've done all the quests i can find in the towns. (so any guides or what not to this mission would be nice)
|
Talk to the NPCs standing next to resurrection shrines out in the explorable areas. They will give you bounties; for example, the NPC by the shrine just outside Kamadan offers a plant bounty which gives you double experience and Sunspear points for every plant monster you kill. There are lots of different kinds of bounty available, so be sure to check in at every resurrection shrine to see if you can get another bounty (you can have several bounties on you at once).

is warrior and ementalist a good build? im using earth magic and hammers.(any guides to this build as well)
|
The Warrior/Elementalist profession combo can work quite well. Earth magic can give you some extra defence, but try not to use too many spells because the Warrior primary has a very small energy pool. Hammers are also a lovely weapon because there are many hammer skills that can knock enemies flat on their back (and interrupting whatever they were doing); you could follow one of these knockdown skills with an Elementalist spell like Aftershock (which does bonus damage to enemies that are knocked down).
The downside of the hammer is that while it deals great damage, you can't use a shield with it. Perhaps you could try using a cheap spell like Armor of Earth (from earth magic) to increase your defence? Try experimenting with a lot of different combinations of skills, and find out what works best for you.
Also, if you find that you don't like an Elementalist secondary on your Warrior, later on in the story you'll be able to change your secondary profession.

Also how can i get better weapons?
|
Weapons often drop from monsters that you kill. You could also visit collectors (who take common drops in exchange for weapons or other equipment) to see if they have any better stuff available for you. You could also get a new weapon crafted from a weaponsmith (found in many towns and outposts), though this will cost you some money. A little extra information for you - the max damage on a hammer is 19-35.

Is there a better way to level besides killing monsters and finding quests??
|
If there is, I can't think of one. If you're killing monsters to level up, make sure you get bounties from the NPCs at resurrection shrines. You'll get double experience from kills that way. Though it must be said that levelling is not the most important aspect of this game - it's more about the skills you use and how you combine them in combat.

Is it worth it to try to get in a guild at my point in the game?
|
You could go looking for a guild if you wanted to. Although being in a guild can be useful, as it can be a bit like a support group helping you find your feet in the game and helping you with missions and things like that.

sorry for so many questions!
|
Don't apologise for asking questions. All of us were new to this game once, and the only stupid questions are the ones that never get asked.
One final thing in this post that I'm sure you'll find very useful: head to the
Guild Wars Wiki and add it to your bookmarks. That site is crammed with practically everything you will ever need to know about this game.
