Quick question: Do IAS stack?

I know that like running skills, stacking buffs like won't go beyond 33%, but say if I have two 25% IAS at the same time do I get 33% instead?

According to guildwiki:

"Attack speed will not stack to exceed +33% or -50%."

No, because you can't have more than one stance up at the same time.

Yes you can.
[wiki]Rapid Fire[/wiki] + [wiki]Lightning Reflexes[/wiki]

However, using both is pointless, since they won't stack.

You do realize that not all IAS are stances right? Anyhow, so can IAS actually stack to 33% ?

Yup. They put a cap on it because Tiger's fury+IWAY was very strong, since I believe it gave you +50% IAS.

haha some speed skillz do stack.... I know
You can make your character run as fast as 50% or even 66% faster
dont say it's impossible, i've done it all the time when running, saves time.

And as a warrior, tis' possible to atk that fast too. Know your skillz.

okay, okay maybe some stances dont stack, Try combining a shout/stance or chant.

There was an article about 'max' stack limits. Then a latter update that added to them max armor.

It's always the same:
- Different skills: Stack to a max.
- Single skill: Goes over the max.

Armor: 25
Attack Speed: 33%
Movement Speed: 33%
etc...

I thought IAS stood for Increased Attack Stance. Guess I could be wrong.

In case you're not being facetious: IAS stands for Increased Attack Speed.

You are right Sekkira it does stand for that but none the less 33% percent is the cap on any speed buff, movement or IAS.

A single skill can send your movement over 33% such as Burning Speed but does not stack with anything else.

and the max on any IAS is 33% so taking more than one skill that does this only helps if you alternate between them to keep an IAS up constantly.

Oh, okay... some stances DO stack, then? Example, please.

PS: IT'S IMPOSSIBLE. See what I did there?

* Attack speed will not stack to exceed +33% or -50%.
* Note that skills increasing attack speed by 33% actually increase the number of hits in a time period by almost 50% (49.3%), and 25% increases hits by 33.3%.

There's your answer.

Curse You meant you can have two IAS at once.

Also, if you stack two IAS while under the effect of Faintheartedness or something that slows attack speed, they still wont stack. Shouldn't they? You should be able to get yourself out of the negatives, IMO.

Also I don't understand why so many skills give a locked bonus of +24 armor, when the cap is +25. If I'm reading this right:
+24 armor +24 armor +21 armor= +25 armor
I think it should be (or they meant it to be, seeing how so many armors are +24, which leads me to believe they were meant to be stacked):
+24 armor +24 armor +21 armor= +48 armor
Since you broke the cap with the first two, +21 would be negated. But just my two cents

Heard of Mending Touch? On the other hand, I can think of very little use for A/N.

33% is the cap on AS, btw.
