Good event, although this was a little unorganized. The prizes weren't that great, and we were given a hidden maximum, which sucked. All my answers were ignored after winning 4 or so times.

I completely missed the scavanger hunt. What was that?..... People were telling me it was just 5 questions...?

LaZy gave me some stuff for ZoS.
I'll make sure Gaile gets a new bow, and I'm sure Andrew could use a new staff, too.

Almost forgot: Thanks for an awesome event!

Well.. if they were to pick say.. Lions Arch or Kaineng Center or even Kamadan.. not everyone has every one of those campaigns.. That's why events always have some trouble(?) In them. :P

Oh Noes! The 'burbs!

I missed it. Sucks being sick.

Where a lot of items given out? I know it's lame, but I donated some stuff and was mildly curious to see who got what during the event.

it was a fairly good event...needed more filler though - Lacked the sparkle of the Ball, with the speeches and the like

seemed like 12 hours of quiz's to me....and people running around saying "Free Beerz"..../sigh i think the greedy people took the fun out of it tbh

Still any event is a good event in my books, ty lazy

Also, i see jack did another great vid hehe

It was great but the beers going around were a bit sluggish. One time i even got 3 beers instead of 5. Maybe next time you can give out like 10 at a time? I enjoyed it a lot though it was rly fun! Although i didn't win anything *like ectos :-P* I still participated, answered first once but i spelled glint wrong due to really fast typing.

that video is very well done! I'm usually not into youtube videos with other music because usually it's something annoying like Evanescence or some other emo screamo Hot Topic poser band like Linkin Park. But this was done just right! I wish I was at the event.

Hi, there,

I wanted to apologize for the fact that neither Andrew nor I were able to attend the event yesterday. We live about 5-6 miles apart, but we have the same ISP, and yesterday was the day it chose to have major issues. It wasn't just the Internet, either. My cable TV was flickering worse than a 1920's movie.

Anyway, I did check into the event in the evening, when the ISP (rhymes with bombast) got their act together and I met up with a few folks from LaZy then. As I said, we're always happy to see player events, and this one sounds as if it was exceptional.

So thanks to LaZy for all the hard work. (And thanks to whomever saved me the bow and sent it via Buttermilk -- it was one I did not have in my bow collection, and I already added it to my GWW page. )

LaZy

On behalf of LaZy Nation, I wish to express our appreciation for the kind words and feedback from those in this thread.

We ultimately had 6 districts full; and spread 10 LaZy teams across the six districts (albeit having been prepared for a total of 10 districts and then consolidating back to 6 districts) to facilitate the event in each district. As a result some districts received more ale than others; but there is not much we could do to balance the distribution of ale at a faster pace considering the lower numbered districts were full and we could not port additional beer distributors into the districts. Such is the challenge for preparing for such an event and some of the physical limitations presented. In total, we had 150 members on our Ventrilo server interacting/leading the events across the districts. We distributed over 25,000 ale between the six districts.

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves - and from the sounds of it - you all did as well. We spent three weeks preparing for the event and had a steering committee that developed the plan of 6 members. I would like to thank them, along with the officer teams assigned each district, and the hundreds of LaZy members that competed between our guilds to raise ale. Special thanks to Melissa (Sinister Fantasy), Mike (Dutchess of Chaos), Tim (Royal Mage Kami), Ben (Cpt Dranken) and Ian (Kie for their assistance in planning and execution of the event. You all know how much I think you rock. This was just another example of how exceptional each of your are. Thank you!

Thanks to Connor (Lord Sojar/Rahja The Thief) for bringing the concept to us. I'm sorry that your stay with LaZy was so short but wish you the best of luck in your future. It was odd having you at the event - and not being part of LaZy/hosting it, but I'm glad you had the chance to see our execution, of your concept, through fruition.

Thanks also to our guests from ZoS and ANET. We appreciated the coverage in the districts. We understand that Gaile and Patrick could not attend; but thank you for the kind words after the event. Your recognition of LaZy was very much appreciated by all our alliance members.

We learned a few lessons from hosting this; our first event. Your continued interaction with this topic/posting will help us improve in the future - so your feedback is much appreciated.

Based upon the apparent success of Oktoberfest 2007, our Guild Leadership Team voted to host additional events in the future; 3 per year. So, we will see everyone in four months time for our next community event. Until then, cheers everyone!

You did a splendid job with the event Mark and the rest of the LaZy gang. You are all welcome to attend that Ascalon Royal Family Masquerade Ball 2008 this coming May, and I am already starting plans. This time, LaZy can come and just enjoy themselves, and myself and my crew can take care of the details. Cheers again LaZy, knock up job and kudos to the event teams! Hail LaZy Nation!

Best wishes in the future and congratulations,
Connor

Build Wars Is A Tragedy [Emo]

I had a great time putting this event together with the team, brainstorming trivia questions and reading lore, laughing at how much we didn't pay attention to the cut scenes to know any of the answers. I know the guys hated hearing me say their names cause that meant we had more work to do, but I'm very thankful for the time energy and effort they put into it. Thanks Ben for the awesome ale drive, Mike for the endless hours of listening to me stress about every detail and rounding up all the prizes, Michael for running Droks to gather funds, and to all of our members for donating everything they had for the event. The teams were led by our wonderful GM's and officers who did an excellent job! I sincerely appreciate everyone's effort!

Thanks to all who attended, I hope you had a great time, and I can't wait to do it all again!

(see Mike my questions weren't that hard ^_^)
