Can't beat Bison in the Norn Tournie? COME HERE!

Hey there guys,

I usually don't like giving my builds (cause people later say that they made the build), but I can see that many warriors have a problem beating the norn tournement/Bison.

Well, from memory here it is: (can't acess Guild Wars at the moment)

W/Any

Str 9 + 1 =10
Sword 12 + 4 = 16
Tactics 9 + 1 = 10

Any sword and shield will do.

The Build:

[E] Dragon slash
Sun and moon slash
Flail
"For great justice"
Enraging charge
Lion's Comfort/healing sig if you don't have it
"Finish Him"
Any Skill, Watch yourself/Dolyak Sig(not as good as WY cause of lion's comfort)/Riposte is nice

How to Use the Build:

Now, so far I have been able to take everyone except Eve (damn blood)

Ok, when you start the fight activate "For great Justice" and Enraging charge, this will give u 7 adren right off the bat.
Activate Flail and spam Dragon Slash and Sun and moon slash, they recharge instantly when "for great justice" is on.
If you start getting low on health use your healing skill, no duh.
When "for great justice is charge again activate it, during the time its charging you can use enraging charge for adrenaline.
Now when the enemy is below 50% hp use "finish him", the damage,deep wound and cracked armor(I think it give cracked armor) will bring almost everyone's health to 1/4 hp.

When you get to Bison do the same thing, but you might want to take Riposte instead of the defence skills, because then you'll be able to block some of Bison's powerfull attacks.

Well that is pretty much it, if there is degen usually you might die after winning but that doesn't matter at the moment, unless Anet changes it that you lose if you die after you win.

Don't you get "Finish Him" after you defeat Bison?

mmm ye, but beating him once is pretty easy, if u have trouble then just take both ripostes, use the same build to beat the other guys, then spam ripostes and the 2 attks on bison

so what's a good build to beat bison the first time? i don't have the tourney at the top of my priority list so mreh. any help though? or places / threads to look for builds that may have been posted already?

like i said in another thread about this :

[skill=text]auspicious parry[/skill], [skill=text]riposte[/skill] and some timing is all you'll ever need to beat Bison. The other 6 skills are up to you.

If i remember it well i used healing signet, "you move like a dwarf", distracting blow, barbarous slice, gash and final thrust.

well timed interupts are key to beat some of the (caster) opponents, but all the physical damage foes are dead easy.

I did it with ease with this build:

[skill]Devastating Hammer[/skill][skill]Counter Blow[/skill][skill]Distracting Blow[/skill][skill]Flail[/skill][skill]"For Great Justice!"[/skill][skill]Lion's Comfort[/skill][skill]Mending Touch[/skill][skill]Remove Hex[/skill]

FGJ + flail gives you extreme adrenaline, to keep your foes on they're asses, weakness is helpful against bison and when hes on the ground heal with lion's comfort. Its got good hex a nd condition romoval for the other foes you with face along the way as well as an itterupt for some nasty ele skills. The damage is not amazing (although base hammer is pretty good) but all foes except bison go down very fast bison takes a while but is very easy.

I pretty much killed him with 2 skills. Deadly ripesote and Necrosis lol. Haven't tried killing after the first time tho, don't know if it"ll work in him when the difficulty is higher.
