Boon Signet and Heroes

I've been playing around with Ogden running a Double Boon Smiting build recently. I was having trouble choosing an appriopriate elite. My first choices were Blessed Light/SoJ/Aura of Faith, but then i came to Boon Signet.

Has anyone tried this skill on a hero bar before? He's currently running 16 Divine Favour so gets the max of 6 energy gained (note i'm messing around with this on my Dervish who has alot of enchantments on him regularly).

I'm not sure how he uses the skill. Does he prioritize people with it for healing purposes? Which would suck because it only heals for 37. Or does he prioritize this as an energy management skill and target people with more enchantments? Which would make him quite effective (and possibly a very potent healer if used along with a Bonder hero maybe).

I realise this may be falling on deaf ears since i can't see this skill of been a popular choice amongst on heroes builds.


Note: I'm not here to debate which elite is best for a Double Boon hero, i want to know if anyone knows how well they use Boon Signet.

Well, alas, it is true - I've never run it on a hero bar, so I've no first hand experience...

But if my experiences with Mungri Magicbox and his cronies are anything to go by, AI appears to use it as a healing skill.

I was thinking of looking towards Mungri, but tbh i can't really tell how they use it. I mean when your pounding on them they tend to all use enchantments + life bond. Take alot of damage and lose energy. So is he using it because he's low on energy? Because he wants to heal? Or because the target has enchantments?

I'll have a go late with a vampiric weapon and see if he bothers casting it on me with/without enchantments.

I tried this on my Ogden Smiting build (Divine boon, smiter's boon, zealot's fire) w/ 14 divine. He never used it ONCE...I got SO annoyed pressing it every 6 seconds that I trashed it and never used it again >.<

Weird, i've seen him using when i had it on for a bit.

I guess it might be a better build for a real monk to use. Since you could cast Boon Signet on yourself (if your maintaining Divine + Smiters Boon and Zealots Fire) and gain 6 energy every 6 seconds.

I tried him out with Aura of Faith as elite, which turns him into a pretty strong healer doing 78 + 78 + 96 with a smite skill, but he only ever used it on targets who were taking a fair amount of damage. Guess i'll have to take another look at Boon to see if he can be trusted.
