I use this a fair amount as it's a great closer of a skill, especially against torment creatures. But somtehing I've noticed is it seems the health bar needs to be closer to 30-40% before it works, even though it looks like it's well over 50%. Anyone else notice this with it or other skills that require less then 50% health?

I've noticed it being a bit iffy if the target already has deep wound on it - i think it ignored the effect deep wound has on the target's health, and thus fails to activate when you think it should.

Well I know it won't work at that, but I've noticed that the bar quiet often needs to be in the middle of the creatures name, like with the stone summit's in Slavers exile I'm looking at probably middle/start of Summit before it does anything.

Something does seem wrong with it. Either that or I need to have my eyes checked. I've seen it fail numerous times while the target's health seemed to below 50% pretty clearly. I've had the same issue with Needling Shot.

Anyway, it doesn't bother me much, because it's rarely worth it to activate when they're just below 50%. I primarily use it to capitalize on damage spikes against enemies with strong healing. (And of course at tough bosses, the cracked armor helps take them down quite nicely.)

yea I have noticed the same thing, I wait for the life bar to be approximately at 30 to 40% now before activating this skill.

I've been using it with a mod with health bar markers.

In general, it seems to work as soon as they are under 50%.

Exceptions seem to occur with:Deep wound. It seems they need to be at 50% of their modified health, which is at the 40% mark on the bar.
  • Max health buffs like Endure Pain. Really, I can't figure out WTH is going on. All I can tell is that the behavior when you use it on mountain trolls is very bizarre.

I've never had any problems with it other than when they already have a deep wound and occasionally Endure Pain.

Tends to work quite well on my Ranger as part of a Point Blank Shot/Savage Shot spike.

Well the 40% actually makes sense then that might be it. I've seen multiple times where I'm clearly under 50% and I fire finish him and nothing happens, no deep wounds, was wondering if itw as a skill or something.

I wondered about this too, but I assumed it had to have been because of something like Endure Pain.

I've read about this somewhere. Its a semi well-known issue with skills that operate with a target being below 50% health, that its actually more like 40-45%, and has (to the best of my knowledge) always been the case with Word of Healing and Zealous Benediction as well.

And yeah, Endure Pain and Deep Wound totally screw it up.

I guess that makes sense though they SHOULD fix that, as people will understand it the way that it's worded. Especially Finish him, some times I try to wait till the end, but if your trying to nail a monk, their hp are going up and down so fast you only have half a second if that to react.
