GWEN Skins for Paragons

Alright, i just made this thread to evaluate the different skins paragons got for armors and weapons. Overal, I think that A-net did a fairly good job. The armors were pretty bad, but the spears more then made up for it. Anyways, here are my views...

Armors

Norn: 3/5--We finally got pants for our male paragons!!! However, its really too bad that the pants are the only redeemable aspect of this armor. Thos shoulder spike things are horrid.

Asura: 3/5--I jsut don't like the general appearance of this armor, especially the angles and shapes on it.

Vanguard: 3.5/5--Not bad, I kind of like the chain mail. The shoulder pieces and chest piece coudl be a little more detailed, however.

Dwarven: 4/5--Wait, someone actually likes this armor? Ya, for some reason i really like the looks of the pants. The armor has a very slick look to it.

Overall, i'd have to say I'm disapointed. Most people playing paragons will likely stick with FoW(if they can afford it) or Vabbian, which is what i'm currently running around with.

Spears

I will not go into great detail with all of these, as there are too many.

Asuran Spear: 2/5

Charrslayer Spear: 2/5

Demon Crest Spear: 3/5

Destroyer Spear: 4/5--Very cool spear. Animation is a bonus.

Draconic Spear: 5/5--Large, deadly, and awesome. Who wouldn't want this spear? It dyes incredibly well to boot.

Forked Spear: 2/5

Guardian Spears: 2/5--These spears come off as looking kind of ugly imo.

Norn Spear: 3/5

Ornate Spear: 4/5--Arrowheads from 300 anyone? These look awesome, and dye extremely well.

Voltaic Spear: 10/5--I nearly wet my pants when i saw this. Really, I think many people would agree with me when I say this is the coolest looking weapon in the game. Really A-net, looks like you got someone from the Lineage 2 crew or something. Kudos to whoever designed this weapon, I hope you continue doing work for A-net!

So ya, there are atleast 4 great new spear skins in GWEN. I think that some of these more then make up for the armor.


I made this thread simply to express my opinion on the new looks for paragons. If this thread shouldn't be in the paragon forum, I am sorry and please move it. I'd like to know what everyone else things of the new skins. Please post your comments!

I agree on the armor, nothing that I would rather use over Vabbian or FoW (I'm using FoW). The only half decent set imo is Vanguard tho I dont really like how it dyes.

Spears, yes the Voltaic spear is amazing. Too bad every monk and caster in the game wants one aswell, making them crazy expensive atm. One day I hope to get a req9 gold tho . Some of the others look decent but again nothing I would choose over the Windblade im using right now.

The Greater Gaurdian Spear looks better than the lesser. I have a greater gaurdian on my paragon, and it looks cool.

Though, the Voltiac is the best looking spear so far in creation in GW.

I really like the greater guardian spear and the destroyer spear.
Draconic is good too, but I really don't like the voltaic spear...it looks like a reskin of an elonan spear.

I'm really not a fan of the Draconic Spear; I think it looks silly. Greater Guardians look cool, but the Destroyer, and finally the Voltaic are my favorite. I might get Norn armor for my Paragon sometime.
