This is my first time playing a Ritualist seriously, and also my first shot at trying to achieve the Survivor title. After reading a couple of Survivor guides I came up with the following build (couldn't get Vampirism to be recognized for some reason):

[skill]Vengeful Weapon[/skill][skill]Mend Body And Soul[/skill][skill]Spirit Light[/skill][skill]Spirit Light Weapon[/skill][skill]Protective Was Kaolai[/skill]Vampirism[skill]Armor Of Mist[/skill][skill]Flesh Of My Flesh[/skill]

Restoration: 14 (12+1+1)
Water Magic: 12
Communing: 3

Gear: Survivor insignias, +60 hp staff

The idea behind the build was to create a backline character who would have high defensive capabilities while still being able to bring something to the table in the party support department. So far (I hit lvl 20 recently) the build has held up well against everything I've faced, but the real challenge should be hitting 1.337.000, so I'm looking for ways to further improve it. Any ideas?

I have a ritualist going for survivor, and all I had to do was a resto rit in Shing Jea until I hit the Marketplace, where I farm for XP.

If you want to run Restoration it's fine, but just know that you don't *have* to run it. I just specced about 10 into restoration with Mend Body and Soul, and that was more than enough to survive in any situation I had any hope of surviving (I ran Channeling, mostly).

Flesh of My Flesh is particularly dangerous, though. If you can, I'd recommend any of the signet-based resurrection skills out there. While Death Pact Signet looks scary, the death you'd take for the target dying again does not count against you. I ran H&H, so with them being predictable I could pretty much tell when I was or was not going to die, and the resurrects I pull usually wouldn't change things, so I just dropped all of my res skills altogether in exchange for more flexibility (though the H&H kept a res sig). If you want it, though, go ahead; I'm probably the exception to the rule.

If you're using PwK for the armor, know that you can't stack it and AoM above +25 armor. If you're using it for party healing, then it might be okay, although you could consider bringing Life instead of Vampirism and use the extra slot for Feast of Souls or Spirit to Flesh.

I hope this helps.

Actually healing is my favourite role so Restoration was quite an easy choice in my case.

To be honest I just threw Flesh of my Flesh in there for the sake of having an out of combat res, but like you I mostly play this char with a H/H team so I'll probably drop it eventually, maybe replace it by a spirit or something.
