I've been observing some high-end GvG games. Some monks seem to be swapping weapons like crazy. They cast one spell, change weapon, cast another spell and swap to their original set. When I try to do that (just for fun ) there is a short moment when I can't do anything, pretty much like aftercast.
Is there a way to pass that "aftercast"?

Good monks anticipate switches. They know when they are going to need to cast something and switch weapons accordingly.

Well, if you have them in your weapon slots you can switch them using the F1 to F4 keys.

Yea, I kinda figured that out. But the point is, they just switch those weapons without any problems. I'll give an example to clear this out:

Übermonk:
1. He's running and suddenly swaps weapon and casts a spell right away.
2. He swaps the original weapon back and continues running.

Me:
1. I'm running and swap my weapon which takes a little moment, and cast the spell
2. I stop for a second to swap my weapon back.

There's a difference, the pro monk swaps the weapon and has no "aftercast", while I do. O_o

Your char won't swap weapons during cast or attack, You can, howver, "preswap" during cast or attack and you will automatically swap quickly between casts/attacks.

For instance, you are wielding your low energy set, have 5 energy and want to cast Aegis:
1. Swap to higher energy set
2. Cast Aegis
3. Swap back to other set during cast
4. Aegis finishes casting and your weapon set will then swap automatically

Hope this helps
