I beat it in the preview, I beat it after the preview. Several times on both. Last time was about a week ago. This time I've been having aggro issues with the wurmies, and only this time. The issue is...
I run away from where they spawn... I continue running... I keep running... I get atleast a whole compass distance from where they spawn, yet they are STILL chasing. I've never had something like this happen anywhere in all of GW, including HM areas.
At first I found it as a challenge, but now it's just annoying because they no longer lock onto me [the tank] and instead chase my casters. Usually when this happens if I can't handle the situation, I run away until aggro is lost, and re-pull so that I've been locked onto. Right now, I don't lose aggro unless my party is wiped, or the wurms are dead.
AI update in Frostmaws?

I do the same thing: Pull, run back, meatshields (NPCs) charge in, they die, I don't, I win!

How do you lose aggro when everyone else is dead?

How do you lose aggro when everyone else is dead? They stop chasing me when we die and respawn because: There's nothing to chase.

All I can say on the subject is; if they have changed the AI since the preview event, then it cant have been made harder!
I did Frostmaw for the first time 2 days ago and virtually wiped it with an all heroe and hench team! The end boss was an absolute pain in the ass, but she died after a few ress's!
I really dont understand why people say that dungeon is hard! You just need alot of AoE, healing and some tanking!
levels 1-4 were an absolute piece of cake.
Note:
In all of GWs you have never experienced a worm that wont loose agro on you?
How long have you been playing! Have you been to the desert in prophercies or the southern shiverpeaks? From my experience its perfectly normal for a worm to chase you from one end of the map to the other! They've been doing that from the start and its always been absolutely annoying.
But have you not noticed that other creatures do that too? They wont leave you alone and chase you half way accross an instance before they loose interest! Its something Anet has never sorted out.
As for them agroing casters first! Thats just the new AI in GWEN. Ive noticed that myself with all the creatures. They go for monks and elementals first for obvious reason.

Yeah wurm aggro has always been silly, last time I did Frostmaw the big bad kinslayer ran at me as soon as she popped up from the ground.
After we dispatched her another wurm came so we killed em all easily one by one

I have tanking, I don't have AoE besides Herta, yet not a single party member dies in my group in the fifth level. I just beat Frostmaw's three times in a row easily. I'm not complaining about the difficulty.

They did actually address the issue once with a patch, but I don't think that they ever nailed it down 100%.

How long have you been playing! 19 months. In the SS/LB farming run, a wurm spawns at the beginning and atleast one member says to ignore it. A radar circle and a half away, and the wurm is gone.

No, I haven't noticed that. I notice in HM areas, if I'm running away, the enemies leave me alone just as much as anyone else
Senrath
I've never known any wurm to stop chasing me until I get 2+ compass distances away, and that's only if I'm lucky.
MithranArkanere
Wurms in the Crystal Desert may chase players radar and half. But those in The Desolation quit quite soon.
Aera
Why would they have to behave like all other foes? It's quite logic they chase you that far, they can move underground really fast and it's easy for them to locate you. If you were a wurm and hungry, wouldn't you chase so far?
