So is the hench AI every going to get fixed?

Overall I say H/H is still working ok. That being said...
I've seen Livia just stand there with her mm amry while were all fighting (she was not set to passive).
I would like to see this change, back row support characters seem to be in front of me. This is standing still / none combat... It be nice if they there default postion around you is back row behind you, not in front.
When you have ally pc's, I've seen you had to Break aggro control by moving forward to get them to do anything as well - they tend to be "way" back, despite flagging to attack. Since I've switch to more passive defense (2 Paraon Hero's) this is not as bad.

There is something changed:
1) They only attack if you attack or if you use shift+space bar.
That means if you use a spell, they won´t attack. So if their target died, they will stand there a second and two before starting to attack something else.
2) After the fight my H/H just stand there, they are not flagged or something. They just stand there. In fact even if I move they don´t. The first H/H starts moving just before the last H/H is out of my aggro range, not a second before.

I think Anet has programmed the H&H to behave like PuGs, to give us a more realistic gaming experience.
Mister O
I want them to stay inside wards, that's all I ask.

Now they just need to program them to draw boobs, various other body parts, and questionable symbols/designs all over the mini-map, ping every skill they use, take turns stopping at random intervals to go to the bathroom or because mom's calling them for supper, and leave 5 minutes into the mission because it's bedtime and they failed to tell you beforehand that they have to leave very soon. Then it would be truly realistic.

I was in that party after you were!

I have not noticed severe problems with the heroes and hench, but some minor problems, yes.
1. Leeroy Jenkins! And suddenly Goren decides to go and aggro about two diameters away. No, I did not select the target, start to attack, then cancel. But this happened only once. And yes he was set to Guard.
2. Have to Call Target for H&H more often than before. MM's seem a bit slow on the attack. Flag them forward first, or pull and run back through the minions. Get those minions on the front line! I see melee players charge forward to take the full brunt of the casters in the mob, when the minions are there to absorb that for them if they would only pull and run back a bit.
3. Keep in mind that the AI has limits when using skills. Look at example hero builds over on pvx or read up on AI Hero problems. All of my heroes work fine, better than most players ... sadly, much better than old fumble fingers here!
4. Make sure your heroes are really set to Guard. For some reason this occasionally changes overnight, has happened to me a few times. Set your monk heroes to Avoid Combat and they stay alive much better.
Overall, I give the Heroes and Hench 5 stars.

IMHO you need to learn better communication skills if you think heroes and henchmen are better than real players and I'm with kunt0r here.
Of course it's true that you can do really well with heroes and henchmen if you are good at controlling them.

ArenaNet is not trying to force anyone to play with other people in some mysterious way! That is not the concept and idea of Guild Wars, and will never ever be!
The bugs concerning AI, are related to several other things, not only the AI script.
So give them some time to get through the codes?
Rome wasn't build in one day either.

yeah, things have changed....and not for the better.
Zhed wont be seeing play time any time soon, he's a minion factory!
Vekk, agrh. Yesterday I flagged the party to a spot behind me....Vekk decided that it didnt mean him and he ran out 2 bubbles away---I have to flag him separately to get him to stay put.
Ducky and SoSuckey think they are tanks....um no I didnt tell you to run forward and start attacking everything in sight---thats the minions job, and speaking of which where the heck IS Olias???? Olias stop picking your butt and those minions up here! Yeah the battle is over and NOW you get the minions here, yeah that works just fine sigh.
and yeah you cant kite, if you move talon decides to break off, unless the party is getting wiped THEN they will stay on target and all die
It wasnt like this before, as a pure h/h person I should know! I have done missions and quests before with the same h/h group and they didnt run around like decapitated chickens-- wtf happened??????????????? (and please fix it, though as has been pointed out at least they are an easy group to get together but sometimes worse than a pug!)
