~700kb update stuck at 95%. just keeps reDLing that 95% again and again. need help.

hi,
i am having trouble completing the update process of guild wars. when i start up the exe it connects to anet to get the update. the update is only about 650 to 700 kilo bytes. when it reasches 95% my download speed drops from 100kbps to 0kbps, then goes "connecting to arena net", it reconnects and redownloads that same 95% again. this keeps adding up, i have it download 10mb and still doesnt go anywhere.

the game worked fine for previous updates, just this one file is being a pain. i have tried disabling firewall and such but doesnt make a difference. im using a wireless connection if that matters.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

If I'm thinking right, it updates your DAT file. I hate to tell you, but your file may be corrupted then. Try to defragment it, and if that doesnt work, you may have to reinstall.

thank you for the reply. the defraging didnt work but it did give me the idea to run the client repair off the disk. i repaired prophecies and now it works.
