Question about Ventari's bidding

So I was looking thru some of the high end sell forums and I noticed a lot of these statements after someone bid:

"Due to the magazines, i have the right to withdraw my bid"

What does this mean exactly? I noticed some people were getting upset about it.

Some european magazines are going to be giving away some of the rarer minipets so the bidder is basically saying, I want to offer you this much, but if I get one for free from the magazine, I'm just gonna take my money and run. Personally, I think it's a cop out, and I would simply ignore any bids made like this as auctions plain and simply aren't supposed to work this way.

or they will retract their bid if the mini pets they are bidding on drop tons in price due to more pets being released from magazine give away.
