With enough time spent since the game came out and for people to play through it so far, is GW:EN Truely worth the $39.99 it costs here to get? Ive been debating it, looking for the pros and cons, and now i figure the best way to decide is to take a little poll.

So here is your Poll Question:

"Is it worth the money to buy the expansion to GW Weigh the pros and cons and please vote *Yes *No"

im asking this as a favor becasue ive been stingy, ive lost my guild mates to this chapter and the last few updates leading to NF. I own All 3 chapters, I dont like doing things with heros and hench, so lame and lonely to be playing a "multiplayer game" with yourself. So i beg you please, Offer me your simple one word oppions, if you have an overenthusatic point to go along with it, please make it. This is for EVERYONE im going completly openminded into this.

Yes

I'm enjoying it, but then i knew it would be more of the same when i bought... Yes kids, more Guild Wars and not really any different to Nightfall, or Factions... Its all one big game, just like reading the next part of a series of books that I've been enjoying

Yes it is.

There were a couple of disappointments initially as you may have read on these forums but overall it is really a good game and it does grow on you for sure.

when you like do get full party wiped daily, then yes, other then that the unbalanced difficulty in GW:EN will only frustrate you often as casual gamer that plays mostly only H/H

$40 is a bit pricey, I bought it at my local game store for $20, and I'm not having any regrets, dungeon runs FTW!

It's far too short compared to even one of the other games. Dungeons can only hold your attention for so long. If it really DOES cost $40 there, then I'd say it's not worth that price and you'd be better waiting for it to drop. Although if money's not the issue, then you may as well. Gives you something to do for a day or two.

Short answer? No.

Longer answer?

a) The game is very short
b) Content is simply not there
c) Armor is reskins
d) Skills aren't necessary
e) Dungeons aren't hard, and are often copies of other dungeons
f) You CANNOT lose. NPCs res, you ALWAYS res, even at 60% dp

All in all, I wasted my money. Sure it was fun, but the fun ended after I finished the missions, and did the dungeons once over. Nothing makes me want to grind titles or dungeons.

I think it is worth it.

Yet still a disappointment. You got never before less GW for more money.

You can get all skins there, it is a drop paradise. With Hard Mode probably even more. You get some really cool heroes with boobs. But it also shows that direction GW is taking: A title-farming game with little content and underwhelming dungeons that have so many re-used parts that it hurts. You are also better off to play only one char, as it is very repetitive and you ideally do everything with one char only nowadays, which is a kinda sad development imo.

They basically throw the few remnants of what could easily have been a great if not the greatest chapter at you and ask you to pay a lot for it.

This makes me bitter. GW:EN would have needed 3-6 months for more content and polish. But they are rushing to GW2, and the last thing we ever got in GW was this unfinished business, and this really makes me angry and mad.

its just as Lonesamurai said. its the continuation of a three series book :P

i think its worth it because you spent the same with the campaigns and they are not that different from each other... every campaign added something so does this...

I'd say yes. Now to be honest I'm closing this only because you can find plenty of information and reviews in these two threads:

http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10196938

http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10196356

I recommend the first one because there is far less flaming and spam in it.

Thanks
