My ranger would be the only one with survivor if they just took total exp. And every farmer would have it too. That would cheapen it a bit in my opinion, but I'm not making a giant scene about it.

That's pretty much how I thought of the Survivor title in the first place.
That said, I wonder how it will work? Will you be safe to die after you get a certain rank so you can "take a break", meaning will you still be R1 even if you die, and still be able to go for R2?
Even if it does cheapen the title, there've been a crap load of people who lost this title due to retardly dumb reasons (Vizunah Square being a primary concern).

I killed off all my new chars on purpose. My reason was that everyone (read: a lot of people) lamed their survivor anyway either by leeching from PuGs or having friends kill stuff for them.
My main chars could never get survivor anyway since they were born in Tyria before the title came out.
If this is true then more people might lame but they'll at least be able to go out in fully decked out chars with uber defense and healing.. and then alt-F4 when their party died because they didn't deal any damage =D

All Gaile talked about in Gunnars is the usual we are looking into these pointless pve things that make the pve'ers happy but we will continue to neglect pvp even more....

survivor title is a complete joke anyways. this thread made it possible for masses of people to farm it with little to no risk in a few hours.
as for anet giving characters that never even had an opportunity for survivor a shot at it, why not. its not like the title can get further "cheapened" or even less "prestigious" then it is now.

They roll back the times you have died. Been playing my necro for over a year, and well considering I have played as and died more then my ranger(who is at 800 some) I checked a couple days ago, it was at 456 or something, so yeah, rolling back death counter.

If the news about the Survivor title are true, they better make it mutually exclusive with LDoA, else there will be a title (though there's one already) when this is obviously aimed to fix it.

All it really means is one more maxable title that can bring you one step closer to that Rainbow Phoenix (or whatever else you're looking for, "God Walking Among Mere Mortals" maybe?) since whatever prestige is left of that title will be lost.
