New to Guild Wars and just started my first Character, a Ranger. Had a couple simple questions that I could not find the answer to with the search function.

Thanks in advance for the help.

1. Is there any way to keep tabs on how close your pet is to leveling?

2. I am going for mostly a marksmanship build and hoping to come up with some formula for insane burst damage. Should I pour all points into Marksmanship to start? Or should I perhaps get Marksmanship and Expertise up together then finish off Marksmanship at a higher level?

3. Could someone please post a Generic Glass Arrows ability line?

4. Is there a website where I can look up all the bows that are in game to compare and see what I want to pursue?

1 - i don't really think so.

2 - if you are leveling up you character, than it doesn't really matter what your build is. you might want to make both about even though, if you are starting off, at least i think.

3 - [skill]Dual Shot[/skill] [skill]Distracting Shot[/skill] [skill]Brutal Weapon[/skill] [skill]Glass Arrows[/skill] [skill]Whirling Defense[/skill] [skill]Needling Shot[/skill] [skill]Triple Shot[/skill] and a rez

exp - 11+1+3
mark - 10+1
commun - 10

[skill]Distracting Shot[/skill] [skill]Savage Shot[/skill] [skill]Glass Arrows[/skill] [skill]Dual Shot[/skill] [skill]Lightning Reflexes[/skill] a conjure (lightning, flame, frost), another stance or maybe troll ung. and a rez
exp - 11+3+1
marks - 11+1
whatever your conjure is - 8

1. as above, unfortunately, nope.
2. You're looking in the right place with [card]Glass Arrows[/card] if you want a nice burst of damage. The conjure build stated above is useful (although i'd be more inclined to try it with [card]Kindle Arrows[/card] + [card]Conjure Flame[/card] and leave the elite slot open for something like [card]Escape[/card] or [card]Prepared Shot[/card].)
On the subject of point distribution, at first its best to spread your points equally over Marks, Expertise and Wilderness Survival, otherwise you'll be all firepower and when anything gets near you.. DOOM for you!

3. Ive been working with this build for a nice burst of power.
[card]Glass Arrows[/card][card]Point Blank Shot[/card][card]Zojun's Shot[/card][card]Screaming Shot[/card][card]Frenzy[/card][card]Rush[/card][card]Troll Unguent[/card][card]Dodge[/card](Bare in mind that this requires you to get up close and personal, which is often difficult for a ranger and you might want to wait until you are a bit more experienced before giving it a go.)

4. See above post.

Why use Fenzy? Lightning Reflexes give the same effect without the 'take double damge' effect

Ive never liked it as a blocking or IAS stance, rush works fine as a cancel stance if you begin to take dmg.
