Brandish Weapons in town with KoaBD

The title says it all. How about a side benefit of achieving KoaBD (Kind of a Big Deal - 5 maxed titles) is that you can carry and display your weapons and off-hands in town. I would make this only happen when the KoaBD title was active, so you could put them away if desired, too.

I'd personally like to see the Uber-weapons of the hardcore players more often.

Yeah and when you get a higher rank in KoaBD your weapons get enlarged?!

ARE YOU HIGH?! Maybe for you guys that want to grind the titles it's "easy".

I been playing the game for 26 months now (/age) and i have not even gotten ONE single title on any of my characters. Maybe having weapons shown would give me some actual incentive to go grind the titles.

Easy my butt. I'm at 71% elonian cartographer and I dread doing anymore of that. At the very most I'll finish the 5 missions I don't have master's on to get protector of elona.

Titles are not measures of skill. Furthermore, I don't care what other people are wielding, and I don't want my computer's performance to suffer because of someone else's "1337ness".

I can only condone this if it is tied to some non-title accomplishment and is toggleable. With that I would be neutral in regards to it, but otherwise I am in opposition.

funny how /fame is accepted and an idea like this is bashed in the ground,not that I have lots of Pve tittles.

I like it, but I'd do it this way:

Protector title allows you to brandish weaponry in towns in the campaign where you have the titles.

If you have Protector on all 3 continents, there you go. It's easily obtainable, it won't exclude people who don't grind, and it's realistic. I don't think NOT being able to show your equipped weaponry in a town is very befitting of the genre.

The thing is, showing everyone's weapon and offhand/shield would tax the servers having to load 100 Icy Dragon Swords or elemental Swords at once for every player who has this turned on.

When everyone is special, nobody is....

Oh yes, having 100 weapons/offhands at once, very painful considering the amount of people out in explorable areas ^^

When i go walking out round Salford i don't see people with knifes in . . their . . ok bad example but basically the towns are safe spots and with everone walking round with weapons its hardly safe

I have Kind of a Big Deal on my primary character, with a possible second rank if I can grind the right titles...although that'll take a long, long time. I guess it'd be nice to display weapons, but the poster above me mentioned lag...and that could be an issue if there's more content packed inside an outpost. Then again, how many people really have even rank 1 of KoaBD, right?

For now, I'll just show off my veteran status by wearing obsidian armor. But the OP's idea is an interesting one. Maybe it'll help stop the "I'm wielding this of that" spamming in AB and RA.
