Steady Stance War nerfed??

hey. i've just started using that build: http://www.pvxwiki.com/wiki/Build:W/...Stance_Warrior.
and something is wrong. mainly, when i activate steady stance and then hit desperation blow, steady stance ends just after i hit with desperation blow. so i can't hit with drunken blow 'on the same steady stance'. is it normal? it says that steady stance lasts 10sek so i should be able to hit with both desperation and drunken blow in a chain. but i can't without activating steady stance BEFORE i use drunken blow. so it's 1 steady stance per 1 blow. why not 1 steady stnance per 2 blows?? please help to dispell my doubts cos i started to like that build. tia

Actually, in truth...The build got nerfed a little while ago, back in august, I think.
Drunken/Desperation Blow used to KD regardless of whether you hit or not, and so would trigger Steady Stance regardless; in short, very little could stop the retarded Fear Me! spam to drain everything of energy.
Then they got 'nerfed', so as to only KD IF you hit, hexes and blind spam could finally overcome SS warrs.
... whatever, the OP's problem is that SS ends when you get KD'd.

well in that case 1 of the blows is enough. still have to w8 till SS recharges if i don't want to be KD. not good, not good at all. -4 energy drain from fear me isn't that great too. hmm well time to think about another build...

-4 energy from a 4 adrenaline spammable skill "not that great"? you must be joking, it's the sickest e-denial in the game.

It's like the best e-denial in the game because most other e-denial is single target and has a draw-back or mass recharge. This one is spammed and mass range

It's not very strong when used in PvE (unless you take Watch yourself instead of Fear me). Even then, I can see pure sword warriors outputting more damage while providing similar defense.

"Fear Me!" May not be that powerful on its own against a single target. But against a group, with about 3 people using it every few seconds it can drain a whole groups energy in a matter of a few moments.

I love fear me, but SS warriors suck IMO. If I want to use fear me I stick it on a sin and give the warrior a hammer and a real build ^^. But seriously, a sin with 8 in tactics can kill stuff and drain energy at the same time.

You haven't seen them in PvP because they were using scythes. They were running around spamming 'Fear Me' and spamming conditions with Des/Drunk Blow and being able to hit over 100 quite often.
And remember there were lots of them at the same time (like 3 or 4), before the nerf they were nearly unstoppable at making the other team energy-less

Also, you get KD if you hit more then one target with Desperation Blow or Drunken Blow while SS ist active.

I noticed that as well, I was using a scythe and was hitting multiple targets and getting KD'd. I had just been playing the build earlier that day and I was not suffering from this, I'm guessing A.net said "Oh noes! A mediocre novelty build with a mild degree of effectiveness in RA, we must nerf it!" within the few hours I was logged off. It's not even a really good build FFS. Fun, and full of LOLs when you see your target's health plummet with DW, but not a build worthy of being nerfed.
Also, Rellik: Unstoppable? LOL. Hardly. Blind, snare, degen, hell any kind of ranged sustained DPS utterly screwed the Desperate Scythe build. It may have seemed "uber" in RA, but there are TONS of crappy builds that pass for uber in RA. I tried getting a team in TA with my Desp Scythe and got laughed at so hard I was laughing too. The touch ranger is more effective than the Desp Scythe.

Before, not even blind, miss or block could stop you, because you get KD every time, and so trigger SS.

They were basicalyl pumping out Fear me every couple of attacks so it's way more than -2
