I just got my mag tonight from our local Waldensbook store. They come in unwrapped but my code worked fine. They only got 10 for the whole store though. By the time I got there, there was only 3 left.
Prices for the mini destroyer are still pretty high, from 80 to 100k+ but you wait a week and the price will drop pretty fast.
By the way, our store started selling them on the 20th. Don't know if they were supposed to wait till the 25th or what. They didn't even know about the freebie inside.
I'm not into mini's so I sold mine pretty fast. Most players I guess don't browse the forums much since everybody was asking me where I got the destroyer from. Don't worry I didn't tell anybody so if you want to sell yours you still have a couple of days to do so before the bottom drops out. I don't think the price will hold for long. I don't know how many mags were printed but if each bookstore/megastore got 10 or so copies then there are alot of them out there. 100k for a couple hours work wasn't so bad.
By the way the following is printed underneath the access code for the mini destroyer:
Bought this issue but your code isn't working? No problem! Email us at [email protected] and we'll get you sorted out!
So evidentally even if you buy an issue and it doesn't work, they will get you a code to make it work. Pretty good customer service.

issues are always dated a few months later than the actual ship date.
Don't know why, that's just the way it is.
(I couldn't sell the desttoyer for 100k, but managed to trade it for a Lich, which is about the same thing...)

And after killing thousands of destroyers I was so sick of them I didn't really want a little one following me around.

I've been to a few book stores in my area and got no love. Either they haven't gotten it yet or they've all sold out. I'm going back out in search of today.

I picked up 2 copies from B & N. This isn't a case of the store employees unwrapping them. They shipped from PC Gamer unwrapped. I spoke to the clerk about it and got assurances that if my code was used I could return the magazines for a full refund.
I got lucky, both of the codes that I bought worked.

please please please please please, could someone post some info about gw2. I am kicking myself because i can't find any. if you would be nice enough to basically right out the whole section on gw2 then omg thankyou! That would make my month. but if not could someone please summarise the main points from it? And if your worried about making spoilers for people then just put loads of big "SPOILER" messages in bold at the top of your post! I would be so greatfull if someone could do this. Thanks!

I called a few local bookstores today and told them about the lack of plastic wrap and how getting that key ganked could disappoint some of their customers.
All the bookstores took it seriously and moved the magazines behind a counter and hung up a sign telling people that if they wanted the Guild Wars issue of PC gamer to ask for it at the register.

So, it is possible to just look at the code, copy the key and then gg? Why aren't these things wrapped???
Lucien Beaumont
No clue what happened. As it stands they might as well have printed the pet code on the cover.

So definitely no chance of getting this in Europe? Mini destroyer is cool, but actually being able to have all the stuff to hand seems a lot better than having to go and check on here and wiki

So people HAVE found this issue in barnes and noble right?

I wasn't thinking too clear at the time. I had yet to get my Javakula and gain a deliciously high dosage of caffeiniation.

For those who live in Canada....
I went to Shoppers Drug Mart and they have them now, about 5 or 6 on the shelves. They are tightly packed, you would tell if someone has went through them, so I guess they're safe

I picked up a copy in a North Carolina Barnes and Nobles. I haven't had an opportunity to use the key, but like most, I selected a copy from the back of the stack. And with the reassurance from PC gamer about getting a key if the one I bought doesn't work, I wasn't too worried about it not being wrapped, However I am disappointed in this notice that ArenaNet put out:
* Due to a production error, a section of the article that begins on page 91 was left out of the issue. PC Gamer will be posting the article, titled "Movement of the World—a Guild Wars 2 History Lesson," in its entirety on their website at www.pcgamer.com on Tuesday the 25th.

Other than for the GW2 lore, it's not so great. In the GW:EN walkthrough guide, the build they recommend for Pyre has: Barrage + Read the Wind... Edit: Thought I'd also mention that the Pyre build also includes Healing Breeze and Orison of Healing. Same goes for their Jora build. |

I actually think of this as the CE content we would have expected to see in a GW:EN CE if such a thing would have been. so I give PCGamer credit for that...
The one publication thing I would have done differently with the mag would have been to wrap it with the DVD trilogy demo disc... That would have solved lots of the issues, and gave people the DVD installation for those that got the online GW:EN... so they have a quick backup for reinstall later...
The Lore content for GW2 was great... and I really liked the peeks at utopia, Though I still think that campaign would have been a great one... Everything in it was wonderful, and that culture has so much potential... It would have been really nice...
The lore hints in the GW2 section really make some things in GW:EN pop out and present themselves... Especially the hidden dragon goodies...
Though its not mentioned the dragon in Cantha in the Luxon jade sea has some great potential for the story later... GW2 Expansion ??? we will see...
And of course ORR... That news is going to guarantee sells of GW2 out of the gate...
All in all I liked the mag... I think PCgamer stepped up and gave us a great little companion to our existing collection of physical materials for GW:EN. Its just a shame NIGHTFALL is now the only GW release with no real extras associated with it... Since the Prima guide kinda got scraped for not real reason...
And yes the builds in it is very basic. But its still something for the new people to try out... You would be surprised to this day how many new people I run into that just do not know where to look for stuff... Or what resources to use to play with build ideas... So true to the most of us, those few build ideas are like WTF? but to the new people it gives them a start at least... With things they will likely have on them early...

I was looking through the guide and i like the comments that go along with the concept art.
Got the guide at walgreens, which is funny because Barnes and Nobles hasn't got their shipment of it yet.
Glad my minipet key worked. Had to search for someone willing to buy for 40k.

How to PvP like a pro:
[skill]Hamstring[/skill][skill]Fire Storm[/skill]
I hope PC Powerplay here in Aus do a similar thing, but at least I'm lucky that the production error meant a huge amount of lore was posted on PC Gamer's site. made for a good read, GW2 is looking pretty interesting imo.

This is crap! Destroyer Mini pet? I just got back from vacation, and now I can't even buy a simple mag with a destroyer mini pet just because I live in Italy? I had the other mag with the asura...I see no problem with buying this one! Comeon PCGamer, Anet, be fair now! ):O

Non-US countries already got more than enough minis exclusive to them as it is. Now it's America's turn to have one.
Trav The Ripper
/agree like korea got tons of exclusive ones and i am sure europe did to, only fair that america gets one. So A-net and PCgammer are being fair.
