The Big Update
Rachel Crow
Anybody else waiting and expecting a big update that will solve a big list of things people keep saying "will be fixed eventually."
EG. Gwen hardmode, fixed graphically problems with new armours (some old too), changes with the gladiator title, and hall of monuments problems.
(I think those are the main ones)
Maybe that gaile person can give us a speculative timeframe atleast for when this big update is apparently supposed to happen?

They've had quite a few "Big Updates" in the past.
Before Nightfall and one other time after that. It added alot of new content and fixed alot of AI bugs and Mission flaws, etc...
I'm expecting one again... But not anytime soon. Best to keep our fingers crossed for more AI fixes and other "stuff".

Suggestion: When "expecting" a reply from Gaile Gray, don't refer to her as "that gaile person." I doubt she'll give this thread another look if she even notices it.

imo the "big update" will probably arrive the same time as bonus missino pack, that way they can keep those who didn't buy from in-game store happy with HM. But in all honesty, even when there's a big fix update you still get threads and threads and threads appearing with brand new whines and whinges. It's a vicious circle!

All's quiet on the Anet front lately. I dont expect a big update for some weeks honestly. It'll come though.

It's better for them to delay the "Big Update" as long as possible in order to keep up interest in Guild Wars until Guild Wars 2 comes out.
I think the special mission pack will come without a big update because the special missions will refill some of the Guild Wars hype meter and help keep interest in Guild Wars until Guild Wars 2. Then, once the hype meter is getting a bit empty again they'll finish GW:EN up and release HM and all the fancy bangles that come with it.
Even so, they could easily make a big Christmas/New Year's event go down that will refill the ever-emptying hype meter enough that they could wait a long while before refilling it again with the "Big Update"
Then, after the "Big Update" they could probably just do a few more minor events to keep refilling the hype and then by that time they'll probably have GW2 developed enough to start releasing bits and pieces of info on it each month or so.
But maybe the ANet staff isn't as devious as I am about these types of things and will release the "Big Update" sooner than later.
Either way it's still all about teh hype meter.

You can't see me
They'll probably fix those things a little at a time, not in some big mass update. I've never seen a game that fixed more than two major problems at once in one update, seriously.
Plus, that way it'll keep intrest longer until the GW2 beta comes out.

I don't know about you, but the hype is long gone for me. I beat gwen so fast, then found out titles aren't even maxable yet, and all the new armours I like are glitched.
Plus all the rewards are kind of crummy right now for dungeons, and since it's normal mode regular drops kind of stink.
I don't want to go on a complainy rant (although it would be so easy), I just would like some foresight into what to expect hopefully. Everybody knows it's coming but it's getting kind of stale listening to people say "they'll fix that when HM comes out" or something along those lines.

GW:EN Hardmode?
Roofles. With the amount of PvE skills,Consumables and Titles that provide benefits,Hardmode won't be hard.

I'd expect a large update when the GW:EN Beta test period is over. Hopefully that won't be long.
TheMosesPHD
What's this about a beta test?
wilebill
I think minor bug fix updates will be all for the near future. If there are major new features, they will probably be added one at a time, none of them in the next few weeks.

Waiting for the big skills nerf, you mean? I don't like the way they're looking at Smiting Prayers and Divine Favor.... makes my Monk nervous.

Nerf... Smiting Prayers? Even with the new GWEN skills, Smiting still sucks for anything except farming undead.

Divine Favor no longer heals for 3.2 for every point. Instead, it now ups your speed by 2% for every point that way you can kite better.

Anet got all our money with EOTN, with almost no effort making the game. Now they're laughing all the way to the bank, while everyone cries and rants on fansites. I guarantee if they release a 'big update', it'll be in a few months time.

And yes, I'm waiting for the update, which will most likely be skill nerfs. But I'm optimistic

And to compensate for lack of armor they are gonna make full chaos armor.
Oh prolly only in gw2. Because GW doesn't deserve to go out with a bang?

Ye, full chaos Only the gloves cost 75 ectos hehe
I'm really waiting for the Gladiator update, if I get 1 point per win or per 5 wins in a row, it would definetly get me more into PvP

Well ANET should do what they can now. Fury and Hellgate will grab players and if they get really into the games will not be interested in following Guild Wars. I know this is ANET's model now, but once people leave GW and return, they usually are not happy.

Let us measure them at what they do for GW1 before they abandon it for GW2.
"We are working hard on GW2 to provide you an incredible and unique gaming experience".
I will not let them get away with that. GW:EN was a shame, we never got less GW for more money.

The BIG update will be here sooner or later. Don't know how BIG you people are talking, but we can expect skill balances (including PVE skills) Hard Mode for GWEN, lots of bug fixes, and maybe a few extra bonus things.

Full Chaos Armor, hmm....
I am sorely tempted to PhotoShop my char Crom just to see how it would look, but it would likely burn out my monitor.
To say nothing of my eyes.
Oh the horror of logging in to Lions Arch and seeing 50-60 all white glowing charrs running around.....AAAHAAHHHAHAHHH
