so basically i suggest that weapon mods should give graphic effects to the weapon they are attached to. for example, a firey mod would make the sword have flames surrounding it (like the firey gladius)
a shocking would have lihgtning bolts surging around it, ebon would be all dusty, icy would have a frosty glow
furious could have a reddish orangish glow, vampiric could be dripping blood, sundering could have a light blue glow around the sword when you get the 20% penetration on an attack.
this would probably be too much work for the devs considering how many weapons are out, but people would love having their weapons with lightning around them etc.

This is for GW2.
GW1 has very fixed models. Making such effects would be like making characters equip two items in the same hand. That would require too much work for GW1.

Of course it's for GW2...all the cool stuff is for GW2.
I hope they have persistent enchantment animations as well, like armor of earth's animation lasting the entire duration...stoneflesh aura turning your actualy char to stone for the duration, etc.

Definately for GW2.
GW1 is apparently set in stone when it comes to the game mechanics... Graphic issues that can never be resolved, program bugs that can never be removed, game mechanics that can never be implimented. etc...
It's a great idea, though.
