A real use for Skill points

Lets face it yall. When we get to level 20 we usually have 10+ skill points. I have 37 on my troll farmer.
Anyway.
Have skills when you buy them from Skills NPC only cost skill points. And then depending on the quality of a skill, the amount of skill points required to buy that will increase too.
Or you could just have the skill points increase like the money 'did'( )
Increases by one per 2 skills or something like that.

Ex: Meteor Shower. Pretty good skill. 4 skp. (5-7 max per skill if we went this way)

Anet could adjust this accordingly.

Pros: A use for skill points. No stacked points.
Quests that offer skill points will be loved and charished.
Skill points from exp will be of use now.
Cons: Maybe a slight feel of the need to grind.

I support this idea, but only because I'm cheap and have hundreds of points.

I rather want to trade the for cash, or even better, get rid of the idea totally. This just adds more grinding.

Exactly. I have 150 skill points just on my elementalist. That's a lot of power stones.

I use mine on celeritys, I love them when vanquishing. I'll get my other titles up too so I can use various different ones.

Consumables is the way to spend those "extra" skill points.

Skill traders are still a pretty big gold sink. Honestly, the 1k per skill is not alot, and it shouldn't be changed. /notsigned

Talk to these NPC's in GW:EN if you want to use your skill points:
Edwin
Alcus Nailbiter
Kwat
Eyja

See that star in the items crafting cost, that means skill points. So we do have a use for all our excess skill points. And even if we didn't, the OP's idea is bad because:
1 - By removing the gold cost, we will have more inflation in game, meaning higher prices.
2 - Currently by progressing my characters through the game and getting all primary class skills as I can, I barely have enough skill points for all the skills I'm after. But if you increased the skill point cost, I'd have to grind for skills and I'm against forcing people to grind for anything that effects gameplay, especially if its something your party members would care about.

Also before you question the Star of Transference consider the fact that it doesn't have to be used on the character who crafted it.

But make it an either/or choice - pay in gold or pay in skill points. That way those of us who want to save a bit of gold when getting and get rid of all the unused skill points, have a way to do so.
