I think it's to tank. But assassin's are not-that-good-tankers.

sins can tank great but it's hard for people to do one without crit defense, shadowform, or flashing blades. I have a modded paliden warrior build for sin that tanks better than most warriors in my opinion. i'll need to find the build it's been a while since I have used it but it got my sin through nf, factions, and proph with little or no problems.

As said above it's supposed to be a tank, tanks don't do dmg they take the hits.
Seams like going ele/sin would be a better alternative in this case. + You might wan't to drop return, as it don't seams fit for a tank to make a retreat, when it's the tanks job to keep the mobs away from the rest of the team.
