English to Chinese GW translation

After spending a few days trading in International district, I think it's only fair I share my Chinese to English phrasebook.

Before I go any further, I will also say that their English is far far superior to my Chinese.....

Outstanding person soldier book = Elite warrior tome

Man riding bone cow = Necrid horseman minipet

dagger man bash bash white = Assasin tome

toothpaste items = sweets

Make die dark = black dye

orange fat man potion = Transmogrifier tonic

WTB: Scary man with tree - never worked that one out? any ideas?

and finally my personal favourite

make sexy lady head gem = ruby (the mind boggles!)


and of course before anyone points out the obvious, that should read Chinese to English....D'Oh

Black should be.. hei .. excuse my poor hanyu pinyin

wts white assassin 100g = (normal tome)

wts shiny assassin 2k = (elite tome)

I fail to see the point of this thread, is it suppose to be humorous or something?

I'm going to take a guess that it's meant to be humorous because I don't see any other point.

It's seems that OP went to International and found some non-english speaking players beating up hard the language, you know... like a roundhouse kick in the face of Shakespeare.

He found that funny and now he's presenting you his 'pearls of wisdom'.

Those translations make perfect sense in Chinese characters. They did a good job on localization. OP just translate them back from Chinese to English word by word, made them lost meaning purposely.

OP, you're trying to make fun of a language that exists about 3000+ years and supports communciations among over 1.3b of people only makes a fool of yourself.

No reasonable discussion can come from this thread.
