I want a portkey aka town portal

This thread should be moved to Riverside Inn.
Yes, that would be nice, but it would be a bad move. Part of the challenge is leaving an outpost with all you need to face ALL challenges. With town portals, you could switch your build (and heroes and equipment), theoretically, for every group of enemies you face. That would destroy the challenge. Bad idea.

Luckily most quests in GW are quite short, so you can either do an entire instance's quests relatively quickly and then jump to the guild hall and retool before heading back out. Having played Diablo/Diablo II, I've never had the need to run back to town because health and energy regen rather quickly in GW.

The only reason to do this is to being able to sell things in a full inventory.
That is currently only needed when clearing dungeons and some areas far from outposts.
Adding this would be a lot of work, since a new 'statues' would be required, one that prevent you from changing builds in outposts. And a 'portal' effect (like the one in the end of Ruins of Surmia) in all outposts, active when someone came through portal.
It would be easier just add merchants to those places, and sell tabs to collectors. Even a consumable item that summons a merchant djinn or a xunlai chest (They could be purchasable at Xunlai Agents).

Adding merchants to maps is a good idea, loved it in factions hope they update all maps with one.
Adding storage and skill swaping/buying and profesion swaping to maps would be a very bad idea.
I am fairly certain that most all of us dress, pickup lunch and our car keys long before we exit our home. Is it to much to ask us to do the same when taking our char out of a town?
