When i posted this : http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10201736

I was not talking about hard mode, missions,mini-games,dungeons i was comparing outside explorable zones.

I don't do hard mode still trying to finish game on normal 1st i get more white and lower stat items for a lvl 20 expansion which i don't think is right.

I spend more time selling this crap than using it and i don't have very good gear to begin with because when i got gwen i bought all expansions at same time.

My gear is not maxed yet i was hoping to get something that could replace some of the gear but no, really don't feel like farming, but i guess ill have to do hard mode missions to get something.

I finished Prophecies last week ,this weekend i was hoping for 1 green but no i ended up with a bag of white items lol.

Most of the named in gwen in outside zones don't drop anything 99% time which i find odd, in Prophecies lots of outside areas most bosses drop purple and gold items.

So this post compares outside zones only which i hope they improve the drops ,im not asking for max items here just balance.

You haven't got past the starter areas then.

Charr drops are same as other charr (lots of money, and other merchable stuff).

Destroyer cores can still be sold, and can be obtained in large quantities.

Quests and overall storyline give lots of money, some rewards can be sold too.

Just completing dungeons will give you diamonds, onyxes and possibly a usable item or two.

Collector items are selling fast, and some of them are very easy to collect en-masse.

The argument "no max gear" is simply invalid. There's more than enough money you can make in GW:EN to get you max gear *without* farming. But you cannot judge everything from first two zones, which, in context, are considered same as pre-searing.

You should try the dungeons. Plenty of good stuff drops in there for me.

And as I explained in your other thread drops in GW:EN are generally poor because we are playing the game in "Normal Mode". In normal mode mobs are easier to kill and item drops are much worse.

For now do as Antheus suggested if you in need of cash. But generally I wouldn't recommend "reopening" a thread that was close to continue a point addressed before.

Next time message a mod if you want to discuss a closed thread.

I don't think you're getting the point. He's comparing NORMAL mode of prophecies, factions, and NF to NORMAL mode of GW:EN. I see the exact same thing as he does whereas - in NORMAL mode of fighting mobs in explorable areas of, say for example Nightfall, I get a fair amount of good drops. max golds and such. However, when I fight in GW:EN, even in the LATEST stages of that expansion, my drops are not even CLOSE to those of the other campaigns. I'm comparing apples to apples here and one apple is juicy and delicious and the other is a scrawny, maggot-filled spoiled one. Ya get it now?

There is only 1 simple explaination. They lvl of the mobs make a big difference in the stuff they drop. Thats why the other campaigns drop better in NM than GW:EN in NM, Because of the lvl differences.

i'm quite happy with the drop rate so far in GW-EN, seems reasonably ok
got 2 green drops in 1 dungeon run, you should try it, it's very fun but it is also takes some time to clear out a whole dungeon (depending on how many levels it has)

Level 20+ in GW:EN, Level 20+ on perdition rock....I get golds, purples, max blues and whites on perdition rock. In GW:EN, I get stuff similar to what I get in the late Maguuma missions. Not even Crystal Desert level drops. Something's wrong.

It isn't the level of the monsters as I'm fighting level 28 or level 30 monsters in GWEN and getting the same types of drops I'd get from a level 10 monster in prophecies. Savvy?

do you consider first 2 areas as same as pre..cause i hear pugs are having trouble with quests outside EoN outpost..(defense of the eye) rated as Master quest...dont think there is any Master quests in pre..

I've certainly been unlucky when it comes to chest drops from dungeons in GW:EN. I've gotten a fair share of worthless golds and a few diamonds, but never a green.

I have however, been lucky outside of dungeons. I've had two max golds with r10 and perfect stats like 15^50% on them. I've even had two greens drop and both happened to be from elementalist bosses. (Of course these dropped prior to the green weekend when I got nothing from any boss. )

At the moment I've confined myself to just playing through GW:EN and not really farming. I can farm in the other chapters much more easily and get better loot. All my heroes are wearing runes that I farmed in a single morning in NF. I bought my rit's GW:EN armor by farming in NF.

Just wait for hard mode when the drops should be much better. If they aren't then I suspect you'll be one in a long list of pissed off people complaining on these boards.

I would tend to agree with tyche7 on this 1. My general experience in GW:EN has been pretty sparse for quality drops. Ive completed nearly all Primaries and several dungeons, and "Defeated" loads of area Bosses. Not 1 green. 3 So-so golds. Im not complaining, just a little envious of the typical town shouters..."I just found a Vorpal Sword of Flying Monkeys +1!"(not actual GW wep

Hmmm 2 theories of mine-

Theres a cut off level point for max weapons. The majority of GWEN monsters seem to be at level 20 (tho far more powerful than there Tyrian etc counterparts) Perhaps it is only a let say monsters level 24+ Which have a 90% or w/e Max Dam Drop Rate

Second perhaps we are so used to HM that now we gear down we are under the impression that normal mode is even worse than it was before HM?
