So excited! Can't wait! It's four weeks until the Mad King arrives!

Wonder if we could get any hints at what's in store for Halloween this year. What sort of hats do people want?

I want a special armor piece like those in GW:EN, one that can't be replicated, but maybe just requires a special fun mission to get. And this would be available at the start of the event till the end.

But there also should be a regular hat that can be replicated.

I've never participated in Christmas or Halloween festivals in GW but maybe this time I will...it'll probably be the last one before GW2 comes out, so let's hope it's a good one, huh?

Been playing 25 Months, and all weve got were pumpkin crowns. I think they arent that great. Id like long tattered black robes, like the reapers. Maybe a scythe with it, just for looks though. Beats pumpkin helms if you ask me.

That's a cool idea - wonder how that would work, since capes aren't interchangeable. Perhaps make it a headpiece, but the rendering encases the whole body?

I like the idea of googly glasses, where the eyeballs pop out on a spring. Hehehe that would be fun.

I remember the first halloween, going crazy for the helm, but i deleted it from my account, before the festival guy came out. And yes, anything but headgear would be nice. The robe idea for a headpiece covering the whole body instead of each individual piece like shirt, robe etc. Any thing but angry pumpkin helmets pl0x. Maybe weapons for each class like the candy cane ones.

A few of my ideas:

1. Skeleton suit (black full body suit with a white skeleton pattern on the front and back).

2. Novelty headgear like an arrow through the head, or an axe in the skull.

3. Miniature ghost (like the ghost-in-a-box) or frog.

4. Flaming hands or hair

5. Skull, Margonite or Afflicted masks (for each continent respectively)

6. New consumable item which surrounds you in spirits for a minute or so.

7. Magical gloves that leave a trail of sparks when you emote (like the Divine Aura).

Yeah, I thought that was a brilliant idea, for those that missed out on the first festival. The second hat is different enough so that the first hat holds some prestige (although, it's not really noticable unless you really look at it). I'm really hoping they do something similar this year as well. I was disappointed they didn't do it for the dragon festival as well.

Anyway, I love the special events Anet throws. I just hope that I don't have too many assignments due around that time. And I really like the cloak headpiece idea. But I'm looking forward to seeing anything new, even if it is just a hat.

How about a helm you can actually use, like the Crowns from Norn Tournament. If they made it available to those who have GW:EN only (much like the witch hats from NF), the max armor wouldn't be imbalanced, since you have to be level 20 to get to GW:EN areas.

I wouldn't be surprised if they "forget" to do a Halloween though.

They won't. The minimum they have to do is just re-apply the same coding as last year with some small alterations (like new hats, adding NPCs that weren't there last year to the codes).

I really dont think they should do a "GWEN only" item. If its cool, others will want it and it would just be stupid hearing people complain. If they do holiday items, everyone should get the same thing. Others dont invest in all the games, or might play more casual, meaning they wouldnt have GWEN, and couldnt get the item. Just my thoughts.

I personally like the events, they do change it up a little, but they happen and most people do enjoy them. If they want to have new things, that is cool, if not, I am still happy.

Mini pet Ghost like the ones in the Box thing but they don't disappear like them

They did lots of mini pigs why not like that.
BUT you actually have to collect the items like 250 skulls 250 Orr 250 carvings
250 essences whatever
and not just get them handed out when Kingy arrives
Would make going after the mini pet that more enjoyable to work for it
OR better still a really good long Quest thats semi to hard to do to get the ghost/wraith whatever

whats wrong with pumpkin hats? they are kind of like a tradition i think, new halloween new pumpkin hat design. i never got the first one, dont think i was playing then, the second ones look a little cartoony an if they do another one this year they gotta flip the design, make it fresh.

and yea i would like to see other things like the ones you guys have been talking about. but i bet you itll be just helms..

Wow, i thought some people hated the boardwalk like me. Oh well, guess not. Have fun guys. I just feel things are a lil overly recycled. I guess after GWEN came out this game got too repeatative and too boring for me.. sigh...

Maybe they could add a new festival game as well as the boardwalk. Hopefully i will be suprised. But knowing how Anet has been lately i am not expecting any suprises in this festival....which is kind of ironic because Halloween is one of my favorite holidays.
