Freezes on one character in the crystal desert.

I am trying to make a paragon legendary survivor, but now I can't even play him in the crystal desert without freezing up.

I play all day, in pvp or doing fff kurzick runs. Not a single problem. I go to try and get a run from augury rock to somewhere and then i'll have to type something and bam, frozen. I then have to emergency restart and go through a million (can not read disk errors) which I know it can because after 10 mins it boots up fine.

I don't understand how it only happens on my one character in the crystal desert.

I have windows vista, quad core, 8800gtx, already replaced psu, video card for other problems (which fixed the disk read/ corrupted data errors) for a while anyways.

Are you running GW on one core?
