hello, i've been wanting to make a barrage splinter build for quite some time, but i can't decide to use go r/rt or rt/r.

an r/rt will be more durable, but an r/rt will hav access to rit runes and therefore have higher damage. wat would u guys say is more efficient for pve?

I was having great success in Tomb of the Primeval Kings with a Rt/T. The extra damage is nice, but having the energy to put your weapon spells on the other rangers is een better. That way other rangers don't have to spread their attributes too much to be able to use stuff like, say, splinter weapon.

hmm ic. also while were on the topic of rt/r, ive seen some insane damage output for splinter barragers. from what i can see, this damage is higher than most nukers. my question is - are splinter barragers better nukers than fire eles?

Rt/R does higher AoE damage, but tends to have a bit less utility.

R/Rt has more direct damage from the bow, and tends to pack more utility, like interrupts.

Splinter can do more damage than an ele pretty easily, but it's much more conditional. If things aren't in a pack, you do shit. As such, fire eles are better general purpose nukers. Splinter weapon is nice when you need strong armor-ignoring damage, or if you're running more physicals.

Rt/R splinter barragers are actually somewhat mediocre, because it's a hell of a lot more efficient to throw splinter on a physical on your team who's going to be attacking anyway. That way, bam 6 other skills on your bar to use, and splinter does the same damage it would on a barrager.

It depends on what you want to do other than Splinter-Barraging. It would be pretty sad if you create a character to only use one build; you should at least explore the other niches a particular class can fill, and base your decision on that.

i have both and think that the r/rt is more effective for the build but rit is a better class IMO
