Hello! I've been playing my Dervish for awhile now, and I've gotten all the Avatars except Grenth (haven't messed with it yet) and Lyssa (can't beat her >.< ). Lyssa hits like a truck, even worse perhaps than Balthazar, who was also a bit of a challenge.
Any advice for a Dervish/Elementalist, teamed with either a Paragon or an E/Me (duo team, my friend switches between these two alts) and heroes, trying to beat Lyssa? ^^; I'm primarily set up for tanking, with all my points in Scythe Mastery, Mysticism, and a bit in Earth Magic for the armor buffs. I don't intend to change my secondary.

Blinding or bring a necro hero with anti-melee curses, or a blood necro with SV. Or an earth ele with wards. Really, there are so many counters to melee, just try one of em.

Thanks for the advice. ^_^ We finally got her down. Elementalist kept her blinded while the heroes and I took out her mobs. Then we just kept her blinded and beat her face. >.>; The trick was actually being organized enough to keep the elementalist alive. XD;

he already beat acolyte of lyssa but anyway, its pretty much pure melee tanker, any anti melee combo works, blind(as u guys did), weakness, SS, SV, Inepitude, Clumsiness, PoF, SoF, RH, etc
and the easiest thing of all, interrupt the acolyte as it uses the avatar... 2 second cast for a boss turns into 1 sec, which is still plenty for a decent ranger to catch with a distracting/savage shot...
as for grenth, even easier, all of the above work with the addition of much less pressure on your team. blackout will also be great here as without attack skills he wont remove enchantments...

pull as many of the groups out of that castle before facing Lyssa, or try to pull Lyssa out, but dont just go barreling in.
Spirits are nice too.

another good tactic is after you clear some out and if Lyssa is aggroed, simply wait for her form to end then run in and attack while shes not in her form, she'll still hit hard but certainly not as hard

because flash fits into a bar with a damaging elite. even rodgort spam. you dont need to blind anyone except lyssa.

well maybe not for just capping lyssa but in general it's still no waste of an elite.
