Ummm... lessee...
The AI is godly with Protective was Kaolai.
That's about it... I just run him as a Restorationalist, with Weapon of Remedy too.
And either points dumped in Channeling for Splinter Weapon, or Communing for Shelter... though he needs a hand with both skills.

Minion Bomber is what I usually use him, combined with Xandra and a Necro hero with death nova/jagged bones they can be unstoppable.

But, for future reference:
