More use for Asura/Norn/Vanguard/Dwarf weapons?

I've been curious about this for a while now but I've never seen any real discussion about it or anything. I searched before posting this, so I hope it's in the right place and not too old.

Anyway, I'm pretty interested in the new weapons that the reputation-based weaponsmiths are able to craft. I've never really found a use for the previous weaponsmiths, but I especially like the skins on a lot of these ones (including the Dwarven ones, yay for good Raven Staff). But considering that I don't really get too much money, I'd rather be saving up for something like armor, which covers my whole character and can be put in the Hall of Monuments to boot. It would be nice if there was something more to attract me to these weapons that would keep them from going to waste.

This brings me to the idea, which I'm probably not the only one to have thought of (it'd be nice of someone to confirm that). Since you could say the weapons monument is pretty lacking at the moment, why not toss some more stuff in there? These craftable ones seem to fit the bill quite nicely. In fact, I'm pretty sure ANet probably thought of this already and just haven't finished up implementing it, considering the way Destroyer weapons are made.

In my opinion, this would be an affordable alternative to Destroyer weapons, while still requiring some work to get to, albeit not as much as it takes for armor. Perhaps stuff like Thunderfist's Brass Knuckles can be included too, as a sort of "freebie". All in all, it would give a pretty nice amount of options. Hopefully something like this already on the way, but, you know, just in case. What do the rest of you think?

I'm all for this, because Valor monument sucks ass and I love certain Norn and Asura weapons (and the array of stuff offerred by the dwarves pleases me. Craftable Long Swords, Raven Staffs, and Split Chakrams ftw).

Also, Valor should accept greens, especially endgame ones...

I've thought a bit about the greens being put in there as well. Didn't toss anything about it in the first post because it was kind of getting a bit cluttered, but thanks for bringing it up. The endgame greens deserve it for sure, considering all you have to go through to get them, and since there aren't too many of them. Not so sure about the others, though. For now I'm going to be hopeful that they do something about these golds first.

Thinking more about the matter of items to put in there, I've seen quite a bit of people requesting Tormented items. But I suppose I shouldn't think so far ahead.

Yeah, any improvement on the Valor monument would be a good one.

Why not?
Destroyer weapons are craftable and can be placed in the hall. why not asura, norn, dwarven and ebon? Imagine lines of weapons in tiers, destroyers at the front, dwarven behind and slightly higher, asura higher still etc.

i like.

I don't know if this is that important of a thing to note, but when I was visiting Gadd's Encampment the other day, I noticed a random weapon guy standing around. Upon further investigation, I noticed he had the usual boring and overpriced blue weapons with him.

This leads me to believe there's got to be more to these reputation-based weapons that we pass by on the way to our armor. If it weren't for the Dwarf weapons, I suppose one might think they're gold for the new skins, or maybe the extra amount of work you've got to put into getting them, but the only think different about the Dwarf weapons is that they're inscribable and stuff - the same thing that a normal weaponsmith provides.

Just a thing to note.
