Anyone know how to deal with that piece of work in HM? He keeps creaming me in a rather humiliating way. One spirit rift is enough to almost erase your party. He's in a pretty unpractcal spot too, and when I try to pull him I get snared by water eles. Ritualists are bad enough in PvP as it is and this pesky boss makes me pull hair.
Any ideas how you people beat him? I used 1 minion bomber, resto healer, curses necro and a water ele with a ward.

My brother and I vanquished this with 4 heroes. Our strategy for most of Hard Mode was Life Barrier and/or Life Bond, which meant for the most part my brother could just sit at the back and maintain. I forget exactly how we defeated Tin Dao, though I have a feeling we just ran in, set Norgu to "Stun", and hoped for the best. We must have done something right, we took no deaths.

Bonder might be an idea, I tried an mm, but when the first attempt fails you're left without corpses and phailure ensues ^^. Most frustrating is that the rest of the area is a pushover, but I'm sure as hell gonna try the bonder idea as soon as I get home.

Thinking about the MM idea, I helped my brother with HM Zen Daijun last weekend. Olias had 12 minions by the time we got to the rit boss...I slapped Pain Inverter on him, took him down to about 5% health after his Spirit Rift dealt it's damage.

BHA wont work, you cant get this guy with any projectiles before he wipes your party.

i died twice, so i had to clear everything and then go back to him. i should of brought and interrupter =/

BHA does work and works well. use a longbow or flatbow to reach the offending boss from outside the aggro circle and for gods sake dont stand in the rift, fire and run.

he stands behind a big pillar of rock. you CANT hit him with projectiles unless you draw him out or run closer to him.
