My beastmasters whish :
I would like the skill [charm animal] to be replaced by a skill [Pet - petname] after charming an animal.
The [Pet] skill will then be equivalent to your charmed animal.
If you bring that skill you have that pet with you.
You can then bring the skill charm animal to charm another animal. This will allow you to keep any animals you have charmed in the past and to equip any one you like.
I know there have been other threads about suggestions to make you reatin pets instead of giving them away. I want to go even further :
Multiple pets extention :
You can equip all [Pet] skills you want at the same time. Taking multiple [pet] skill's in on your skill bar allows you to take multiple pet's at the same time.
Make the number of equipable [Pet] skills depend on your level in beastmastery. You can equip 1 pet skill + 1 for every 2 ranks in beastmastery.
Some beastmastery skills would work on all your pets at once. I'm thinking of the buff-shouts like call of haste, ottyugh's cry, call of protection.
Most beastmastery skills would need a target pet. I'm thinking of the attack skills here, but also protective bond, comfort taret pet etc... Make them target your first life pet automatically. Sure I'd like to have them work on all pets as well, but that would be too overpowered.
This would mean having to rework the entire beast mastery skill line.
It would be so awesome to be able to take more than one pet.
Would this be overpowered ? You bet ! That's why I like it.
BUT a necromancer can allready bring 10 minnions, and he needs only 1 skill slot to do this. He gets to choose between ranged and melee,
It would not be worse for balance than a MM I think.
If balance is a problem, we can allways make this a new PvE only skill [Signet of pet capture]. Buy one for each new pet you want to permanently capture. That way Anet can use this as a little gold sink. :-) ) And making it a PvE only skill would make it impossible to do this on your heroes.
I'm not expecting Anet to implemtn this, but wouldn't it be cool ?
