Is there a way to start a Rit in NightFall?

I have Factions and NightFall, I want to start a new Rit but am not allowed to select a Rit for the NightFall Campagin.

Is there a way to play through NightFall with a Rit?

Rit have to start out in Factions. You can port your rit into NF once you get off the newbie island.

Just hope I can get access to the early on Heroes like Koss still, we will see.

Yes, all those heroes will be available to you. Once you get to NF, the first primary quest there gives you Koss, Dunkoro, Melonni and Tahlkora, all at lvl 15. It takes a bit more effort, but you can also grab a lvl 11 Jin or Sousuke before heading away from Istan.
