Well, for all those who own Factions and Nightfall know, it is impossible to get ran somewhere for some purpose, because you "have" to do missions and follow the storyline. Well I have 6 characters, 4 of them would like to get the armour later in game from Cavalon, House Zu Heltzer, Vasburg Armoury, etc. Now the thing i I have to do the story line over, and over, and over, and over, again. It gets very very boring doing the same thing too many times,(though there are like 1 or 2 missions I don't get bored of.) Also for those elite skills you would want to cap so much, well you get the point...
Basicley I wish that in Factions and Nightfall the characters could actually fight or get ran to an area instead of doing the same missions over again. I feel "only some" of the missions should be "required" like the Thunderhead Keep or Sanctum Cay missions are required to go somewhere, while others you could just skip which was always nice. Or Maybe something like you can only skip missions if you beat the game or something, anything that could help the boring and tedious (doing same missions for like the 6th time). So anybody got an suggestions?
Factions and Nightfall running

not going to happen
A.net designed Cantha and Elona to prevent running. They aren't going to undo that.
Isn't actaully having to play the game to get what you want a pain?

yea, it was farley obvious anet wanted to force people into doing every missions, but seriously it does get very tedious and boring doing the same missions over again. Prophicies alowed more freedom for the players who wanted to go a place, and isn't freedom what rpgs (or MMORPG) are all about?
-the factions mission branch later in the game I support, it gives a differant side to missions, only problem is it's late in the game.

1 of the problems with Prophecies was the Forge Run. as people skipped the entire areas of Kryta, Maguuma Jungle and the Crystal Desert, got rushed to Droknar's Forge instead, where they can buy max armor, get power lvling to lvl 20 and get to the actually interesting and challanging areas, Southern Shiverpeaks and Ring of Fire...
they tried solving it by introducing the Totem Axe and later Frozen Fans and such that can be gotten only from regular mobs in specific areas, Wind Riders only in the Falls and also introduced Kephket and that Rotwing boss, which are the only bosses outside Grenth's Footprint and Sorrow's Furnace that drop greens, and put both of them pre Southern Shiverpeaks so people need to actually get there first not pay to get the Forge Run.
with Factions and Nightfall they solved that problem. in Factions you just cant run anywhere as most places are closed/unavailable before you complete the mission prior to them.
with Nightfall on the other hand they did something different. they allowed some running, Turai's Persecution comes to mind, so you can cap Searing Flames and Savannah Heat rather early but you couldnt enter the Gate of Desolation mission until you did all the missions leading to it.
which is the best option? I'm not sure... all have their pros and cons, its very personal...

Guild Wars has a lot of good things going for them. Fun mission design is not one of them, I'm afraid.
I wouldn't say that running or skipping them would be something I'd like to see put in, and would likely be infeasible considering that some missions physically block off progress through the map, but perhaps something to keep them from wearing you down with boredom when you play through with different characters. How about the newbie missions (ex. Minister Cho's Estate) can be skipped if you have already beat that campaign, and the higher end missions can be skipped for 1-5k and/or a number of skill points? Of course, you wouldn't get any reward until you actually did it (and maybe an ugly map symbol for further encouragement ).

Haha! No.
Instead of, they should change tyrian missions to require Primary Quests made, like Factions and Nightfall.

My suggestion?
Keep it as it is.
And you be less impatient.

Armor from late areas are meant to be earned. Sure, if you have the money, you would naturally want to get the best stuff as early as possible.
But, think of this.
If you took the novelty of actually having to EARN your Elite Armor in Factions and Nightfall, then the satisfaction of crafting that set would be taken away. There would be more attraction to gold buying.
/unsigned; The satisfaction would just dissapear. It might seem nice in the short term, but then armor wouldn't mean anything. I remember the days when people would Ooh and Ah at measly armor from Lion's Arch. Those were the days. :P

This isn't an easy issue, but all in all, I think the non-running is a better idea. If you commit yourself to multiple characters, be willing to complete the campaigns for them as well.
