Master of Interrupts pet now my pet lol
snikerz
Ok as you know ANET has added to new NPCs inside the training area of the Great Temple of Balthazar, one of which is the Master of Interrupts
When you get in radar range to him he activates Charm Animal on a fully evolved lvl20 Elder Wolf, it seems that the Master of Interrupts version of Charm Animal has ¼ second activation time, so I thought to myself there must be a way to prevent him using that skill, after a few minutes I came up with a solution.
behold my..I mean the Master of Interrupts Elder Wolf hehe
enjoy

That's clever. You could have a dire lvl 20 pet right out of Ascalon w/o deathleveling as long as you have a helpful friend. Grasping Was Kuurong & Blackout?

Yeah, i dont get it either...i r noob

There are screenshots there.... but I can't see them.... so I have NO idea what is going on.
Would someone mind telling me what the screenshots show?
Incidentally... A-Net are going to nerf this baby SO fast when they find out.

Bring heroes, flag them in. Edge your character into radar range of the Master of Interrupts and then quickly out again. Heroes kill him, flag them out, charm wolf.
Brianna
And this is what happens when people obviously get very bored, lol.
pingu666

What is the evolution on the pet?
RSGashapon
He said Elder.

Yeah I figured the trick out quickly and capped the elder for a lot of my heroes, and then seeked out some people in Ascalon and Kamadan to help them cap it. It's not profitable or anything, it's just fun and useful for people.
What I found out is that my heroes retained the pets, but the people I helped might not have. For one person, the pet didn't appear outside of Kamadan, and I'm not sure about other people because I can't reach them. I might have a character I can test on later, but if you guys can post your findings that'd be nice too.
Thanks for the tip.

I've tried 3 times now with my W/R to cap the wolf... each time, I successfully get it, but after I leave the area it's like it never existed - I have no pet at all (Pet Tamers confirm this). I've named it in the Training Area, just in case that helped... it didn't, but when I capped it again, it was pre-named with the name I gave it last time.
My heroes, however, have no such problems. They get to keep theirs. My R/Mo did all of his heroes! (He himself is probably never going to get rid of his Stalker... even though it's fat and lazy... it's his friend, and he's had it since the day he was made). I tested it in a few explorable areas, and the heroes all bring their pets with them.
So... to the OP... do *you* still have the Elder Wolf in other explorable areas?

I can confirm the above, the pet does seem to disappear when you go out to an explorable area.

Upon further investigation, my pet's gone too. Well, there's always the Black Moa, I guess.

Update : Fixed an issue that allowed players to charm the Master of Interrupts’ pet wolf under certain circumstances.

Well, Anet is certainly reading the forums...yet they're only fixing the "exploits". I thought they only fix problems with gameplay, not easy solutions for farming.
I'm referring of course to the continued HoS nerfing...adding more enemies and tweaking the black powder keg. Now Cyndr is once again impossible.
So much for rewarding players for being innovative...every update to GWEN has been to promote more and more grind, less and less casual play.
Fix the problems with the game. Stop nerfing the easy runs that allow casual players to be competitive. I haven't stepped foot in a GWEN explorable for 3 days now because of this horseshit.

Maybe Anet should spend a little more time fixing the busted H/H AI and not worry as much over so called "exploits." *
* No, I never tried any of the supposed exploits that have been "fixed."

it isn't a real exploit as you can't use it outside the arena.

Considering the speed at which ANet is able to fix "exploits", why do they take so long to, or never, make other equally easy fixes that would be far more beneficial to the game?
Longasc
The wolf is "unevolved", this means it is a TINY level 5 size wolf. Given the ease of death levelling a dire or just playing along with hearty pets... I wonder why people would want it. Ah, for the heroes that rarely have need of a pet maybe.
I also wonder why ANet "fixed" this.
We can already ask people to take us along to get an Elder Black Moa, which is not much different to getting this Elder Wolf. No harm would have been done if people could get level 20 pets without the awkward training required to get one.
The drawback is always that the pets which start at level 20 do not grow. Imagine the Black Windows grown to hearty/dire naturally... ^^
