GWEN Worth buying now?
Wretchman Drake
I know it's only been out for a little bit, but I quit GW in the summer to play WoW and got myself almost near lvl 60 in that game, but I couldn't forget the MMO I've played over 2 years worth of time and such, beat all 3 campaigns, etc. It's just that once Nightfall was over with it just so boring for me, no new content, heroes made grouping worthless... Is GWEN more group oreinted? In WoW, grouping is a horrid procedure and not as sophisticated as Guild Wars, I love doing missions and such in GW for the love of the teamwork. Do alot of peolpe still play right now? If I started soon would I have trouble finding groups for the dungeons? Is the new content worth it?
One last thing, did it even add anything new to PvP besides skills? If not, that's pretty dissapointing.

If you got board with Nightfall so quickly you will likly not last long with EotN. The game is very fun, dont get me wrong, but if you have already moved on it is nothing to move back for.
And no, they added nothing new for PvP. They stated from the outset this was focused on PvE. This was to try and minimize the impact on the PvP meta-game.

Uh, yeah, if you hated the single person game that was Nightfall, GWEN is no better.
Sure, there are some dungeons you'll run with PUGs, but it doesn't sound like you'll be satisfied with that.
(I love GWEN, BTW, I'm just answering your question based on what you seem to like).
On the plus side, if you liked Guild Wars, I think you'll like the voice acting and new areas, which are the best yet in Guild Wars. First game since Prophecy I've really enjoyed playing.

I love Gw:en! I know what you mean beside the derv and good loot i almost regret geting NF X( that cursed champagin.. but with a good active guild Gw:en is very fun and its cool how only 20's can go there. its alot of fun and challenging but i woundn't go thru it if your looking for money cause the drops are so poor its devistating.. the dungeons are ok tho for party and drops the greens are good and the skills are very worth it. all in all i think you should go for it i think it will bring you back to what you liked so much about GW in the first place.
GL and if you do get it and want to run a dungeon gimme a yell me and my alliance are pleased to help.

It's an add-on for lvl 20 characters.
As stated, the main plot is very short.
There a ton of on the side things to do.
I've felt Gw-eotn was worth my purchase.
If you plan on doing GW2, you may want to do EOTN. The Hall of Monuments are used to "unlock" things that will give you some exclusive benefit in GW2.

GWEN is pretty cool but it doesn't really add much for PvP so that's really where it is.
If you play PvE then it is worth it imo but for PvP it doesn't add much although a couple of the new skills are quite handy I would say.

I think GWEN is a lot, LOT more replayable than NF, but the storyline content is shorter than NF's. I enjoy doing the side quests (and they have better rewards than other games) and I think a lot of the dungeons are worth running through multiple times as well.

Having a plethora of titles to chase after (much like lightbringer or sunspear titles) can mean spending a lot of hours alone farming for points. Due to the quest lengths I think it's generally harder to group for. There aren't any set "missions" that are well defined points where people will band together.
However other short, exciting quests like the popular Heart of the Shiverpeak chest run still encourage people to band together.

Hindsight being 20/20, I'd say no. At least now I have plenty of good reason to not waste my money on GW2.

If your a fan of the game, then yes it will add a bit more life to it for you. However, I have to admit that after only a month of playing Im kind of bored now.
I have 2 new armors, and some prestige and got high ranks on some titles and most pve only skills.
But now there isnt alot left!
GWEN does tie off a few loose ends in the story, so its worth it for the lure kind of!
