PC Gamer GW Guide/ destroyer pet

I just went to my local book store to pick up 2 copies of the PC Gamer Ultimate GW Guide mag......the one with the free destroyer cd key. I was dumbfounded to find out that none of the 5 copies on the shelf had a wrapper keeping the mag closed. I thought to myself....hhmm how easy it would be to whip out my camera phone and take pics of all the 5 cd keys in the mags, come home amd sell them on ebay,in game,etc.....

Being a good person I said ....nah! Then I paid my $20 ($10x2) only to come home and find out that BOTH CD KEYS HAVE BEEN USED ALREADY!!!!!!!

I called PC Gamer and they said they/their publisher did not put wrappers on any of these special edition magazines. I would have to email support. (still waiting)

So my question is.....has anybody else out there had problems with the theft of their cd key? If so what have you done to resolve it? Any help?

Pc Gamer only wraps editions that contain a CD. Key theft has been a problem with all three mini-pet editions. The problem and the solution was discussed earlier this week in this thread http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10201337

As they have also had problems with non-functioning key codes, they would have to set up a support anyway.

Mine was fine, as I picked the magazine all the way at the way and was behind another magazine @_@ Then again, maybe it is just that not many people play GW in my area.

I have been to B&N twice and various other places with magazines and can't find it anywhere. Can you order it directly from them?

Never mind- answered my own question, go to their website, call the 800 number, order it, and it comes. Far less chance of having some clown in the store writing down all the key codes. Should have it in 10 days.
