Alliances social side is in bad shape sometimes
Clord
When there is a lot people in alliance, some guy who you don't recall can engage to discussion.
I disagreed that in hard mode foes kiting is major problem and can be countered via spell casters etc and that using tanks (warriors) is not must in hard mode in every area.
He began flame me and putted me to ignore list because I disagreed him opinion and telling my own. Also he didn't believe me when I told that I was 21 old and played over 17 years and that I started learning programming when I was 10 years old (basic, qbasic and visual basic).
I think this maybe was how Guild Wars PvE is made, it discourage to being social and instead use ignore list when someone try to discuss like mature person.

It's ok, you're better off not talking to someone who thinks tanks are viable for anything other than... like... a couple of 'elite' missions.
... A DSlasher with "Save Yourselves!" makes anyone a tank.
Anyho, yeah... the ignore list rocks.

Welcome to Guild Wars, where time played does not make you skillful in intelligence.

Can't choose your alliance members unfortuantly. If that person can't discuss like a muture person, then they are not worth talking to anyway.

Half of my ignore list is composed of alliance members who annoy me.
The cool people make up for the bad one's though. Just keep the cool ones close and the dummies at a distance and you'll be okay.

Alliances, really serve no function out side of FFF and AB.
Seriously what can you do in an Alliance that you can't do as part of a guild?
If you say GvG, I know the Australian community had a lively GvG series before factions and alliances.
My suggestion, revolt. Don't fall into the Alliance idea of game play, bring back the good old fashion Guild!

In our alliance, any sort of junk like that gets stomped out. respect is important.
it sucks that good people are so hard to find.

sounds like the world.

When I'm in a sizable alliance, there's always people who use the Alliance Chat like it's a price guide search engine. They ask for a price check and think we're customer service and we're gonna stop what we're doing and do a price check for them.

people like that guy are called n00bs, you can either lower yourself to their level and argue with them over some stupid point, or you can ignore them and realize that you will always be better than them, and have more fun than them because he will have to defend his point to everyone he comes across.

We don't get too much stuff like that - we do at times, and it results in an officer in their guild talking to them, or a boot if they don't stop. We don't allow such things happening.
The worse is when they act like total idiots when their officers aren't online, then you have to deal with them until they log out of frustration, they shut up or simply throw them in your ignore list.
There's a drawback when your guild is selective - you don't have as much people - but it makes worthwhile when none of your members have caused problems.

That is the sound of the toilet flushing down maturity.

Actually, a Dslasher with SY! IS a tank. Especially if he has lower health than the rest of his team.

My definition of tank is the guy who holds aggro. Would it be a 55 HP monk in starter armor or a low health Warrior spamming SY! doesn't matter.

We've found in our alliance, that grew to a sizeable 500+ people at one stage, that various people had various interpretations as to what an alliance is for. Kinda hard finding people with exactly the same goals for something as yourself - not to mention that goals do change time to time. Not everyone likes to mingle and be friendly in an alliance, just gotta get used to it.
Clord
Mostly our alliance is pretty friendly and we don't let just anyone to in, usually.
