Best use for Elite Mes tome.

I just got a elite mes tome, for very cheap...3k and I'm thinking what elite I should use it on. I've been playing factions with my mes and now am looking to try Domination. Any domination or other good elite skills I should get? I was thinken Power Block or Enrgy Surge
any suggestions, thanks.
any suggestions, thanks.

PB and Esurge are the most common elites in pve, but if you dont have it already, get MoR. HEV is also a good choice if you plan on gvging

HeV is very fun in PvE where you know there will be hexes (charr area in GW:EN anyone? xD), but i have to ask, what campaigns do you have and how far are you in to factions? MoR is of course a very good skill to always have. E-Surge is good, but IMO e-denial isn't too needed in pve and AoE every 20 seconds i believe? isn't too great either. Another thing, power block is a fantastic pvp skill but shut down is rarely needed in pve. Anyways, if you plan on venturing away from domination, ineptitude and clumsiness is always good in pve, everything get hits by it...including the wanding monks )^,_,^(. Hope this helped or isn't too late.

POwer spike or energy surge will be a good choice and ineptitude also

lol, pspike isnt a elite...

Hex Eater Vortex, or Power Block.
HEV is, imo, a better straight DD elite than Energy Surge and is a whole lot more hassle to get.
Power Block is mildy useful and a later cap than ESurge.

I wish I could get Hex Eater Vortex, but I only have Factions and Prophecies.

HEV is pwnage in PvE areas w hexes. I'd either get that, or Signet Of Illusions to buff Asura/Norn/Vanguard skills.

I would go ahead and use it on Ineptitude. My reasoning is looking how far you have to run to get the elite (Oh, the pure enjoyment that is capping in Mineral Springs).
Otherwise, I would have suggested Power Flux in NF, since it's a pain to cap.

Well, now you can cap Ineptitude in an asuran zone.( *remembers his 90mn trip to cap Ineptitude in Mineral Springs, with full hench team at 60% and desired boss met last )
I'd get either signet of illusions (fun with pve only spells) or HEV.
Power Block can be easily captured on some charr in Gwen.

One fun mesmer elite to play with in the Domination line is Psychic Distraction (from factions). That might be worth using your elite tome for, if you haven't capped it already.
terminus123
Well atm I don't have Nightfall, so no HEV (darn), and I already capped Ineptitude, so yea...
HawkofStorms
If you don't have GW:EN yet, get Ineptitude, just because caping in mineral springs is a pain.
Energy surge is nice, but a very easy core cap.

Best use of any elite tome is to acquire a skill that takes a long time to cap. Most Canthan mesmer elites are quite easy to cap, so I would recommend to cap a Tyrian skill because most boss spawns are random. You could get Migraine, Power Block or Fevered Dreams.
mesmer anthony
Id say hex eater vortex

Agreed. Don't waste a tome on an easily cappable skill. For instance, using it on Expel Hexes when Jin is right under your nose there in factions. I would wiki the ones that might look like a ***** to cap, and choose your fav.
terminus123
well then thanks guys, I've narowed it down to Power Block, Enery surge, and Migraine.

Sell the tome for a profit and go cap all three skills will take you a half hour.
terminus123
I would problem is that my Mesmer has only explored Kaineg City, not Tyria yet.

Energy Surge can be capped relatively easily in Cantha - near the start of the Arborstone mission (Factions mission #6, and if the ranger boss spawns instead of the mesmer one, try again until the mesmer boss appears). That's practically right after you leave Kaineng City for the first time.

o darn lol ^^ used elite mes tome for energy surge already, it now does 96 dmge! yay! instead of measley 80.
samcobra
so basically, the question becomes what skill is hardest to cap. I'd say go for PD. I have another mes tome now though and I still haven't used it. I was thinking power leech or w/e that endgame NF elite is, but I haven't decided yet, since its pretty damn useless.
BLOODGOAT
I would just suggest now that if you plan on getting any sort of skill capturing title, that you unlock one of the hardest skills to get for whichever campaign and learn that, regardless of whether or not you need it. Perfect example would be capping Hundred Blades in Prophecies. Second last boss of the last mission, would be much, much easier to just unlock and learn it with Elite Warrior Tome.
TGgold
I would personally have used it on Signet of Illusions if you have NF.
It takes so long to get T_T I'm in the process now, haha.
