Hard Mode in Pre-Searing

I believe that once a player becomes level 15 that there should be a hard mode applied for them in pre-searing. This would make the title a lot faster to get and it would also help the enviroment. There are players leaving there computers on for months with repeated death-leveling which is a complete waste of electricity if you ask me, so please add a Hard-Mode in pre-searing to limit the amount of elecricity used.

Doing this will make the title the same except you do not have to complete the difficult task of leaving your computer having your enemies death level against you. It would just automatically be done. Also, it would be possible for the Hard-Mode to only affect the level of the Charr.

the title is meant to be a bitch to get. if they had HM in pre-searing then you could get the title in like 2 days, pointless even having it then.
and its the tutorial area as well LOL.
yeesh thats the same as saying, ya know i don't think we should have HM in any elite area's, makes it too hard.

instead of the title taking around 800-1000 hours to get it would take no more then 30 hours.

That would be the point, it would help the enviroment by concerving electricity.
I don't really see what your saying though. All I got out of it was that the title is like a goal or an achievment and if other people have it the title would be pointless. I could be off track, could anybody explain it more clearly?

This is a stupid discussion....adding hard mode in pre-searing....specially at lvl 15....LOL...why not just say lvl 1?

Instead of having to vanquish all areas in a world, just vanq 1 and get the title.

Same for cartography, explore the entire area (yes I said ENTIRE area) of 1 single zone, get grandmaster cartographer.

What else can we make easy since people want to whine and moan about titles being time consuming.

Dont try to get all economical about the electricity thing either...thats a poor excuse...the bottom line is, your just lazy and want an easy way to do things

A few more requests:
- Add FoW and UW access to pre-searing (so that perma-pre players can also use it)
- Add Domain of Anguish and Mallyx quest chain (no fair you need to leave to do that)
- Heroes. 25 of them.
- Rune and Insignia trader (c'mon, nobody wants to play gimped builds)
- Skill trainers (the HB/orison is slowly starting to wear out, we need more chocies)
- A tutorial area. Since pre-searing is such a complex place, we need a noob island of sorts. Something simpler, easier. Pre-pre-searing in Old old Ascalon.

i think, its better to give old characters, which are out of the tutorial also a chance to receive this title.

I think there should exist in Ascalon, once you beat prophecies, a NPC, which should give the player an Elite Quest ( so a quest with difficulty elite) which will let a team of 8 players for this quest fight versus an huge invasion of the Charr, which will attack Ascalon and the players have to defend the Town in an epic battle and survive the battle without dieing completely.
When whole team is dead, quest is failed and the party has it to start again
When the players have then defended the invasion and have killed every Charr, then they wil get also the legendary defender of Ascalon title for their awesome heroism

This i would find personally perfect, when then also old charcters receive finally a chance to get the survivor title by temporarely resetting the death counter to 0 through an Item.

i ask me since the survivor title exiosts ever, why anet is so lazy to create simple not an consumeable item, like "Ambrosia", the legendary Food of the Gods, which would reset as said temporarely the death counter to 0 for the character who uses it, and when that chara dies then again, the death counter will be again the old one +1, but as long you don#t die after reset and made then the 1.337500 exp without a next die, it counts then, as if you would have made done it normally... and every old char, which has no chance to receive the title would have one in a sudden ...

those 2 changes would be only fair for everyone imo

Would this title be attainable through normal playing without death leveling, lots of players would surely leave presearing with their charas in an instant, when they could do it with like lvl 6-11

I like LDoA the way it is. I like the fact that the first people who got to level 20 in pre searing used a bit of imagination and put some thought into it, and they achieved it.

Basically, if you think it's a waste of time deathleveling, don't get the title. It's quite worrying when people are too lazy to put in the small, small effort (on a computer game, no less) of achieving this title. Sure, it is time consuming. Sure, it takes months to achieve. Sure, if you're too impatient, you're going to fail. I think that's what adds to this title. Only those who really want it for whatever reason get it.

Also, the power saving excuse is crap. A computer left all but idling over night is not going to kill the world. Neither is a couple thousand. You know what the biggest contributor to pollution in the world is? Driving a car. If you want to save the environment, stop driving your car. Stop your parents driving their car, stop your friends. Also, convince the various governments of the world to stop using coal for power. If you really care about the environment, that's what you should be doing. You shouldn't be wasting your time on a forum for a computer game.

Actually almost everybody who stays in presearing stays there because of what it is. Not because of some title. That's just a bonus. People like the environment of presearing. Presearing is one of the most beautiful places in the game. Why do you think there is a huge community devoted to presearing? It's not just people hunting the title. These are people who actually choose to stay there for enjoyment and relaxation.

however, both titles need a change, survivor, like LDoA, because as long LDoA needs death leaveling, you can't get Survivor too and that sucks ...

when there are titles, then i want them all and not that I can't get a certain one, when i also want an other one, but cant get both because their options to receive the titles disturb each other.

And alone for fairness of the old characters the 2 titles need a change, but most people don't accept this, because they are all too selfish/small minded and don't know, what fairness means in a game... they think then ever only what they self did, but forget then totally, that those 2 little changes would help them too for future characters they maybe make later ...

Normally, when HoM wouldn't exist, i would say, shit on the LDoA Title, but alone because of the fact, that the HoM exists, its not regardless anymore, that LDoA title makes Survivor impossible and vice versa, ignoring totally all players, which want maybe have both titles for their HoM -.-

Those 2 changes i mentioned are really not hard programmed, especially the change on the Survivor Title for temporaly Death Counter rests through an consumeable item, once you got legendary survivor, no one interest so or so, how often U've died after it, R3 is R3, more is not of Interest for anyone.
Same for LDoA, its totally uninterresting, if you made it now in presearing per stupid silly braindead death leveling, or if you had played through the game and made then an elite quests to defend ascalon versus an real invasion of Charr and earned then through this the title.. title is title in the end and no pig interests it, how you got it...

or it anyone interested here in knowing, if people made their maps 100% now by without help, or if anyone made it now with help of text Mod ? No, i think no, no one interests that, people interests only the RESULT and the RESULT means, that player x is a grandmaster cartographer of continent Y.

Ive heard this idea before and ive never liked it.

The fact is you knew pre-ascalon was a training area when you started, so if you choose to hang around there at lvl15-20, then its your own fault.

You cant then complain that its hard to increase level in a training zone. High end content doesnt belong in a training zone. I accept people like to hang around in pre-ascalon and I dont blame them, but you knew it was a training zone when you stuck around.

There exists a way to get to lvl20 (be tedious as it is), so you have to make do with it. We dont really want to incourage people to hang around in pre-ascalon, because it will confuse newbie players.

We need to maintain this distinction between a training zone and being somewhere to hang around! If people then later choose to make a new char and hang around thats fine. But we dont want new players getting confused if they see high end quests or creatures lurking around.
